Portek Log Master Saw Horse
The idea of using a chainsaw often puts people off the idea of preparing their own firewood, with the thought of injury resulting from not knowing proper chainsaw technique understandably turning them away from the idea. Help is at hand with the ingenious Portek Log Master Saw Horse, a simple but highly effective way to prepare firewood, yet greatly reducing the risk of injury resulting from tiredness or poor technique when using a heavy chainsaw.
The Log Master takes the strain out of cutting logs and is probably the safest sawhorse available on the market today. It takes the weight of both the chainsaw and wood to be logged, with the chainsaw neatly clamping into a hinged bracket that moves in an up and down motion. The chainsaw bar and chain (maximum length 45cm) is shielded under a metal guard, dismissing the chance of a broken chain flying into the operator’s face and with one hand on the saw, the other is free to support the wood resting on the saw horse.
Logs can be cut into any length required in complete safety and with total accuracy since the chainsaw bar is being held on the same line for every cut, providing a fast and accurate preparation of firewood in complete safety. The Portek Log Master will become indispensable for firewood preparation once you have tried it, taking the strain and backache out of logging!
The frame of the sawhorse takes the strain of both the wood to be logged and the chainsaw, leaving the operator free to concentrate on accuracy and good technique.
Fast and easy to assemble, the time and effort taken to prepare firewood is greatly reduced.
Safe for even the most inexperienced chainsaw operator.
