The Husqvarna 455 e-series Rancher petrol chainsaw is a saw for estate and large property owners, where use is not necessarily regular but reliability is essential, particularly when a big job needs attending to. The e-series designation distinguishes the Husqvarna 455e Rancher from the standard model with the inclusion of a tool-less chain-tensioning device, speeding up the process of taking up slack in a loose chain. Improving on its previous incarnation, it has the superb 55.5cc X-Torq® 2-stroke petrol engine providing low emissions with exceptional performance and Smart Start® technology to facilitate rapid start-up, with a fuel pump and combined choke start/stop control to speed the process further. Prolonged periods of use are not a drawback with the Husqvarna 455e due to the excellent LowVib® vibration damping technology and ergonomically designed rear handle and front grip, giving the operator both improved comfort and excellent control over the saw at all times. Durability is a key consideration when purchasing a new chainsaw and Husqvarna have built a sound reputation around this concept; a forged 3-piece crankshaft will stand up to the toughest of working conditions and snap-on, snap-off cylinder and air filter covers will leave no excuses for not keeping on top of maintenance jobs. An adjustable oil pump will prevent the over lubrication of the chain and to avoid wastage the pump will automatically shut off when the engine is at idling speed. To further improve performance an excellent Air Injection™ centrifugal air cleaning system will remove large dust particles before they enter the air filter and an industry standard inertia operated chain brake will guard the operator against kickback related injuries.
