Now available in the U.K. for the first time, the Honda FG205 mini-tiller offers some distinct advantages over its very similar cousin, the FG201. Powered by the excellent 49cc Honda GXV50 4-stroke petrol engine, it has a wider working width of 45cm, making it more capable of preparing larger plots and with a slower tine rotation speed of 135rpm, it is ideal for mixing compost into soil needing attention. As with all Honda garden tillers, vibration levels are very low ensuring comfortable periods of use whilst the folding Y-handles optimize storage space in the garden shed or car boot. The transmission is supremely tough with a wheel-and-worm configuration and to keep the design as simple as possible, only a single speed is available. Movement from one plot to the next is achieved with the supplied transportation wheel that proves to be very easy to attach or remove; if you prefer, a built-in carry handle is fitted for transportation over short distances
