The Lawnmowers Direct homepage is a good way to start your search for a product. There is a range of offers listed, as well as useful links to take you to our product ranges. You can find our blog and our advice pages, contact information and more from this page.
Return to the homepage easily from any page on Lawnmowers Direct by clicking onto the home link on the navigation bar, or by clicking our logo at the top of the page.
There are two main ways for you to find what you’re looking for on Lawnmowers Direct. Either you can browse by clicking through to a category page or you can use our search function.
To browse, just choose a category from the navigation bar or pick one of brands in the right hand side menu on the homepage. If you’ve chosen a brand such as Flymo, all the products we have from that particular manufacturer will be listed. If you’ve chosen a category such as Lawnmowers, you’ll be able to narrow down your search further by choosing relevant criteria such as Petrol Lawnmowers.
If you’re after a specific product, use our search function to find it. You’ll find the search bar at the top of every page. Simply type in part of the product name and you’ll be presented with some items which match your search term in a dropdown menu. If you’d rather browse through all the relevant results, press return or click on the magnifying glass to be taken to a search results page.
We’ve recently introduced a more advanced search system. This means that you can narrow down your results by a series of criteria (found on the right hand side of the screen) to help you make sense of the results.

Most of the products on Lawnmowers Direct are priced less than the recommended retail price (RRP), so you will be able to find bargains just by browsing through the product pages. If you click through to the Special Offers page you will see some of the special offers we’re currently highlighting – these could be anything from discounted seasonal goods to products with great savings.
Start by heading to our Free Advice section. To help you make an informed purchase, we’ve written a number of buyer’s guides, lawn care tips, operation guides and more. We’ve also put together a comprehensive glossary of a lot of terms and phrases used in lawnmower and other garden machinery descriptions.

After you’ve decided on a product you can either click ‘MORE INFO’ to find out details about that product or click ‘BUY NOW’ to add that product to your basket.
On some of the product pages you will find a list of items which are frequently purchased with that product such as spare blades and service kits. If you would like to include any of these in your order, just change the quantity before you click through to ‘ADD TO BASKET’ and make your purchase. If you don’t want any of these extra products, just click the ‘add to basket’ button; they are all set to zero as default and will only be included if you choose to do so.
After you’ve clicked either buy now or add to basket you will have the option to be taken through to the basket page where you can check what you’re ordering and your total. VAT is included in all our prices, and for orders of £50 or more shipping is free to UK mainland addresses. For orders less than £50 you will be charged £3.95.
At this point you have the option of clicking through to our secure checkout or you can checkout using Amazon Pay. Amazon Pay uses your existing Amazon account, so you can speed up checkout and complete your order in as little as three clicks (a few more if you want to change any of your details before checking out). Amazon is a trusted service so you know your payment is secure. We never see your card details if you check out through Amazon pay.
If you click through to the secure checkout, on the checkout page you will be asked for your details. Fill in the address to which you would like the order to be delivered – there is an opportunity later to add a different billing address.
We use Sage Pay to take payment for orders, which means we never have access to your card details. We accept payment via Paypal, Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Mastercard, American Express and Maestro.
If you’re unable to complete your order through our online system for whatever reason, or would like to arrange payment by bank transfer, you can complete your order over the phone by calling 01603 255825. Payment details will only be kept until your order has been placed. Once payment has been authorised we will destroy any copies of payment details we have taken.
Please note: postage costs quoted in the basket refer to mainland UK addresses only.
If you’re ordering to the Scottish Highlands, an offshore UK address or to the Republic of Ireland additional charges may apply. To receive a quote for these costs along with estimated delivery times, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your address and the items you would like to order.
You can still place your order through the website without receiving a quote (follow the instructions above for UK mainland delivery) but we will be in touch after the order has been placed to confirm delivery costs.
We can also process your order over the phone if you prefer. Please call 01603 255825 during our office hours to do so.
We are currently trialling free returns on items costing over £30 which are cancelled within 14 days of receipt. If you would like to cancel your order, please email email@example.com with your order details to let us know you would like to cancel your order.
Once we receive notification that you would like to return your goods we will be in touch to arrange a date for collection. We are unable to give a specific time slot for this, but usually our couriers will collect towards the end of the day once they have emptied their vehicles of outstanding deliveries.
Refunds for returned goods will be processed within 14 days (although usually much more quickly!).

You may also qualify for our replacement policy, details of which can be found here. This is a service we offer because we know that sometimes you will need to use a machine to find out whether or not it will be suitable for you. If you have used your machine once or twice and it is still in good condition, you are likely to qualify for this offer. There is no set time frame for this because we know sometimes products will be ordered and then not used for weeks or even months. We access each replacement on a case by case basis, and photographs of your machine can help us to do this.
