Karcher

Kärcher is a German cleaning equipment manufacturer with a passion for innovation. Set up in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstat in 1935 by engineer Alfred Kärcher, the spirit of continual development and improvement defines this company’s history.

Kärcher originally manufactured safe, economical industrial furnaces, but it was Alfred Kärcher’s invention of the modern pressure washer, the DS 350, in 1950 that changed the company’s direction forever. Today, Kärcher is the world market leader in cleaning technology and the preferred supplier to both NATO and the U.S. Military.

Innovation is not a destination, but an ongoing process at Kärcher. As of 2018, it had 632 active patents and 110 new products on the market, and more than 90% of products sold were less than five years old.
