For just about as long as anyone can remember, horticultural power tools have relied heavily upon the ability to extract the decomposed remains of prehistoric organisms from deep within the Earth. These fossils then require processing and refining to make them into a fuel, which when burnt can power a tool. But if this seems like a slightly convoluted process for the sake of tidying your lawn, then worry not; Oregon’s ST250 Cordless Electric Trimmer/Edger is here to make things a whole lot simpler.
By eliminating the need to rely upon petrol equipment, the Oregon ST250 places itself at the forefront of a horticultural revolution. This is because it’s battery-powered and electric tools are cleaner, quieter, simpler to operate and cheaper to run than comparable petrol equipment. And with the power provided by Oregon’s B400E lithium-ion battery pack and an efficient electric motor, the ST250 is no slouch when it comes to cutting either.
The motor delivers a no-load cutting speed of 7,000rpm, which when combined with the ST250’s tough .080″ Platinum Gatorline™ nylon cutting line is more than enough to deal with the vast majority of trimming and edging jobs. The Oregon ST250 also features an Oregon® Swift Load trimmer head with a semi-automatic feed system, making it reassuringly simple to advance or reload the cutting line when required.
This user-friendliness is evident throughout the ST250’s design, ranging from the ergonomically designed handles and intuitive controls to the simple-yet-clever flip-down edging guide, which allows you to quickly switch between trimming and edging. Lightweight (only 4.3k with battery pack) and well-balanced for added manoeuvrability, Oregon’s ST250 also ensures that you can cut accurately, with variable throttle control included for added precision.
The ST250 is also four times quieter than similar petrol machinery, which when combined with the lack of fumes makes it perfect for use in built-up areas. This superb cordless trimmer/edger from Oregon is therefore better for you, those around you and the environment. And with this package including both the B400E Battery Pack and C600 Battery Charger as standard, it won’t take long before you come to appreciate its many benefits.
