Air is important. That might seem like a statement of the obvious, given how useful breathing is to us on a day-to-day basis, but many fail to realise that lawns also need to “breathe” in a manner not unlike people. Grass, like any living thing, needs moisture and oxygen in order to grow and thrive, but over time soil can compact and become nigh on impenetrable. To keep your lawn looking lush and verdant it is therefore essential that the roots of your grass have access to vital nutrients, moisture and oxygen.
This is where Allett’s aerator cartridge comes in. Fitting in place of your Kensington cylinder mower’s standard cutting unit, the aerator cartridge is built with a row of tough spikes which penetrate even the toughest ground to improve the water and air content of soil and promote healthier lawn growth. Moreover, as the aerator will also prune grass roots it will invigorate growth even more. Easy to install thanks to Allett’s “Quick Cartridge” system, the aerator cartridge is available in three sizes (14”, 17” and 20”).
