Many children have toy tractors when they’re young, but only the lucky few get to use a machine as powerful and versatile as Bertolini’s 411 two-wheeled tractor when they grow up. Designed for professional users taking on heavy workloads over large areas, the 411 is suitable for use on all kinds of terrain and can be equipped with a wide range of optional tools, accessories and attachments in order to meet the specific needs of each user, so even the most challenging commercial agricultural, horticultural and landscaping tasks can be made much simpler with this outstanding machine at your fingertips.

This version of the 411 receives its power from a hardworking 441cc Lombardini 15LD440 diesel engine, delivering high torque performance ideal for frequent professional use. A diesel engine of this kind offers significant advantages over a standard petrol engine, not least greater fuel efficiency and reduced maintenance demands. Moreover, with its die-cast aluminium crankcase, cast iron cylinder liner and high quality construction this engine will offer many years of dependable service, while a six-speed gear box featuring three forward and three reverse gears offers brilliant control to complement the engine’s impressive power.

The 411’s overall brilliance, however, is built upon its versatility, with optional attachments available to ensure great results regardless of the task ahead. Soil cultivation, for instance, is made much easier by equipping the 411 with one of Bertolini’s 65cm or 70cm tiller attachments, with reversible and rotary ploughs available for additional soil work. When faced with large lawns or uncultivated areas of grass, meanwhile, you need simply accessorise your tractor with a 115cm sickle bar mower attachment to enable quick, precise and efficient mowing of long grass and undergrowth. Additional accessories include a flail mower, a rotary mower attachment, a powered broom attachment and a front-mounted shovel, so you can rest assured of year-round utility (all accessories and attachments available separately).

Furthermore, everything about the 411 is designed to make switching between different accessories pleasingly simple, such as the clever QuickFit coupling device and the height- and width-adjustable handlebars which can be reversed 180° depending on the current accessory in use. Thus even the most demanding commercial jobs are made much simpler, with an effective vibration-dampening system included for added comfort over prolonged periods of use. Similarly handy is the combination of a differential locking system, independent brakes on each wheel and high grip chevron tyres, which together ensure complete control and manoeuvrability even on rough terrain. The 411’s tough build and high quality components are also vital when working in hostile conditions, providing durability enough for many years of brilliantly dependable (and dependably brilliant) service.

About Bertolini
Bertolini was founded in 1953, at first producing pumps for the agricultural industry, and a year later expanded their range to include a mower, the Bertolini BFR 54. With their reputation for quality firmly established Bertolini went on to produce a range of cultivators and tillers that became the standard tool for the market gardeners and vineyard owners of the Mediterranean hillsides, favoured due to their outstanding durability in the hot and dusty conditions. Bertolini wheel tractor units gained a reputation as flexible and easy to use on rough terrain.

These cultivators became indispensable tools. It wasn't long before customers were asking for bespoke machinery to suit their particular horticultural needs, a demand that Bertolini were happy to answer until it became economically impossible to continue as manufacturing costs began to soar. More recently, the Emak Group acquired the Bertolini brand and since November 2008 awareness of the large range of tillers, cultivators, scythe cutter bar mowers, flail mowers and transporters has increased dramatically with the demand for their two-wheeled tractor units growing at-a-pace. The range of products available in the U.K. is still slightly limited, but with a rapid increase of interest in their excellent equipment, the Bertolini range of horticultural machinery is here to stay.
