Complete with everything you need to get started (battery, charger, plastic blades and plant protector) this powerful grass trimmer is ideal for anyone who has a large area of grass to deal with. The combination of cordless technology, generous cutting width and low weight all combine to make tackling a large lawn easy. Cordless technology not only gives freedom from power outlets and extension leads, it also ensures there are no cables to trip over, get tangled up or accidentally cut. A battery-powered trimmer is also both lighter and easier to start than a petrol-powered machine, and eliminates the need to buy or store petrol, or to work amid a cloud of fumes.
In spite of its powerful battery, the ART 26 is very light, weighing in at only 3kg, enabling you to use it for as long as necessary without strain on your back and arms. It has also been ergonomically designed and balanced for comfortable use, and a second handle ensures comfortable operation in any working position. The cutter head will rotate through 90° for easy trimming and edging, and angle adjustment on the trimmer shaft allows for easy trimming under benches and bushes, easing strain on the operator’s back. The telescopic height-adjustable handle can also be extended up to 115cm, allowing the operator to reach easily into awkward spots. To add even further to the convenience of this trimmer, it is supplied with a set of attachable wheels, meaning the operator can use it without even having to support the whole weight of the trimmer on their back and arms. This fact makes the ART 26 ideal for anyone with reduced strength, or anyone with a very large area to cover with their trimmer.
The polymer blade cutting system has been aerodynamically designed to reduce resistance, enabling more efficient energy use and a more accurate cut. The tough plastic blades are easily replaced without tools thanks to the Bosch SDS system, and there is a handy storage area on the trimmer handle to store the spare blades, enabling you to change them quickly and conveniently. The generous cutting width of 26cm allows you to cover a large area quickly and efficiently. There is a plant protector bar on the front of the trimmer, to help maintain a safe distance from plants, walls, fences and other objects.
The powerful 18V NiCd battery provides enough power to trim up to 800m of grass on a single charge, and the battery will recharge fully in three hours.
