Bosch AVR 1100 Verticutter is ideal for many of the same jobs as a lawnraker, but it can also provide added benefits in the garden: not only is it useful for clearing a lawn of dead leaves, thatch and other surface debris, but it can also be used to give a much more thorough clearing to your lawn by slicing through the surface to lift rooted debris.
To make this verticutter as efficient as possible, Bosch have incorporated their Powerdrive system into the 1100W motor: when the going gets tough, the system senses the increased load on the blades and increases the torque sent from the motor, to ensure the machine is always running with maximum power and efficiency.
What truly makes this verticutter so useful, however, is the “Jet-Collect” system: the fourteen rotating stainless steel blades gather up debris, and the profiled airflow inlets blow the leaves and moss straight through into the collecting drum. This prevents clogging and speeds up the rate of collection. The powerful airflow also compacts the debris inside the collecting drum, which together with the generous 50l capacity serves to allow the operator to spend as much time using the verticutter and as little time emptying away the debris as possible.
In spite of the powerful motor and strong steel blades, this machine weighs in at only 9.9kg, making it light enough to use and transport easily no matter what the operator’s strength or level of experience. The 32cm cutting width is wide enough to be useful and efficient without compromising the manoeuvrability, and twin levers allow you to adjust the height of the blades to allow for different lawn conditions. The highest setting, +5mm, allows you to collect leaves, thatch and other surface debris, and the lowest setting, -10mm, allows you to remove rooted debris and moss by cutting into the surface of the lawn. This setting also leaves grooves which prove extremely useful when re-seeding your lawn. This versatility means your verticutter will make itself useful in the garden all year round in a variety of ways.
When you have finished using your verticutter and wish to store it, you can reduce it to a compact shape just 40cm high by removing and stacking the 2-piece collection box, and folding down the double-folding handles.
