Bosch’s new Indego 350 Connect robotic lawnmower allows home users effortless mowing. After initial set up the Indego will run entirely by itself, taking itself to charge when needed, and logically mapping out your garden to cut in the most efficient route possible.

This model is able to cut areas of up to 350m2, mowing up to 30 minutes per charge. The Indego will go through cycles of cutting and charging to ensure that your grass always looks just cut. After the Bosch Indego 350 Connect has mapped your lawn, it will suggest a cutting schedule to suit your garden size – no manual programming required! As the Indego uses a reliable lithium-ion battery there is also minimal power consumption, less noise, and less air pollution than conventional mowers.

While other robotic mowers mow randomly, Bosch have designed their models with parallel line cutting strategy, to ensure an efficient and complete coverage thanks to its intelligent LogiCut navigation; the mower knows where it has already cut, so after a charge it will return to a new area rather than go over the same old ground again and again. Working with a parallel line cutting strategy, the mower will vary its route with each cut which helps to avoid turf stress.

Mowing is constant, and as tiny amounts of the grass is cut at a time, your lawn will reap the benefits of mulching, while you won’t notice the clippings. That means there are no bags of cut grass to dispose of either…

The mower features tactile sensors, floating shell, and design engineered wheels for increased reassurance and to be generally kinder to your grass. Furthermore, the HMI (human machine interface) is incredibly user friendly, allowing you easy operation, quick programming, and advanced security. This model can be used alongside a convenient smart phone app (available on Android and iOS), meaning you can control your mower from wherever you are. Alarm and PIN come as standard.

About Bosch
Since the humble beginnings in Stuttgart, 1886, when Robert Bosch formed his own business manufacturing electronic components, the ‘Workshop for Precision Mechanics and Electrical Engineering' has become one of the biggest and best known manufacturers of domestic and industrial electrical products in the world. The willingness to improve on established designs started almost immediately and it is this ethos that has kept Bosch GmbH and Bosch lawnmowers ahead of their rivals ever since. This innovation is quite apparent in the present range of Bosch lawnmowers and garden products that include tools no other garden machinery manufacturer produces.

Whatever size your garden, there is bound to be a Bosch lawnmower to suit it. The Bosch Rotak electric and cordless mowers exemplify the company’s willingness to innovate with features such as grass combs that enable mowing up to the edges of lawn borders and rechargeable lithium-ion batteries with virtually no drop-off in performance after extended use. Aside from Bosch lawnmowers, notable inventions are the Ciso Cordless Secateur and Isio Cordless Shrub Shear, tools that allow users with physical weaknesses to carryout day-to-day gardening tasks without discomfort. There is no doubt that if a garden tool can be improved upon, Robert Bosch GmbH is probably designing its successor already.
