This Flat Treaded 28” Spade from Bulldog is designed for digging in unprepared ground and preparing the soil for the planting of new seeds, plants and vegetables. The blade (L 290mm x W 190mm) and socket have been forged from one piece of steel, meaning no welds or weak points, and ensuring excellent durability. Flat treads meanwhile have been welded onto the top edge of the spade, protecting your shoes and helping you to avoid slipping in damp conditions. Finally, the T-shaped hardwood handle provides a comfortable grip, securely morticed, tenoned and glued to a 28” (711mm) shaft of the same material.
