Designed for shifting loose materials such as shingle, sand, and gravel, this Premier Irish Shovel has its origins in a specific area where long ash handles are traditionally preferred. This model has a longer 54” (1372mm) handle, generating extra leverage and allowing you to work comfortably with a straight back.
The (L) 330mm x (W) 250mm blade meanwhile has been solid-forged with the open socket from a single piece of steel for maximum strength and durability. The handle has then been fixed deep inside the socket for added toughness. Made from high-quality FSC ash, the handle has also been varnished to make it weather-resistant.
