Designed for professionals and those who want the ultimate in terms of quality and strength, this Premier Newcastle Draining Tool is ideal for digging holes, deep narrow trenches, cable channels, pipe channels, drain channels, and post holes. This model features a strapped design for increased strength, plus a treaded blade and a robust MYD handle for more comfortable use.
The strap is an integral part of the (L) 355mm x (W) 178mm blade, the two forged together from a single piece of steel to increase strength and durability. The strap has then been riveted to the 28” (711mm) high-quality ash shaft – the toughest method of attaching a blade to a shaft. The shaft has also been varnished to protect it against the elements.
Comfortable use meanwhile is ensured by the D-shaped MYD handle, a sturdy construction boasting a metal frame with a wooden grip for a secure hold on the spade. The blade moreover also has treads welded to its upper edge, allowing you to put the power of your legs into the digging action without damaging your footwear, and without slipping when working in wet and muddy conditions.
