Perfect for digging holes, deep narrow trenches, cable channels, pipe channels, drain channels, and post holes, this Premier Newcastle Draining Tool is a spade designed for professionals and those wanting the ultimate when it comes to strength and quality. This model boasts a strong polyfibreglass shaft and handle, plus rear-facing (R/F) treads for greater power and more comfort in the digging action.
This spade features an incredibly strong and durable blade (L 405mm x W 178mm) forged with the socket from a single piece of steel (no welds or weak points). Rear-facing treads meanwhile have been welded to the upper edge of the blade, enabling you to put the power of your legs into the digging action, while also protecting your shoes and preventing you from slipping in wet and muddy conditions. Being angled backwards also allows you to dig deep, but in a specific direction too, which is especially handy for trench-digging.
The 28” (711mm) shaft and handle meanwhile are made of polyfibreglass for additional strength and longevity, the D-shape of the handle affording you to a comfortable and secure grip.
