Taper Mouth Shovels are sometimes preferred to Square Mouth Shovels for tasks such as digging out and backfilling trenches, mixing concrete, working tarmac, and other general shovelling jobs. The tapered blade moreover is also handy for working in tight corners, and makes breaking into aggregates a far less strenuous task. Part of Bulldog’s range of Premier Contractors Digging Tools, this shovel boasts an all-metal shaft – the strongest shaft available – plus a D-shaped handle for a comfortable and secure grip.
The No.2 blade, sized at (L) 315mm x (W) 250mm, has been solid-forged with the socket from one piece of steel to give it maximum strength and durability. The all-metal shaft meanwhile is 28” (711mm) in length and ends in a D-shaped handle, comprised of a robust metal frame and a comfortable wooden grip.
