Designed for general trench-digging tasks, but especially useful for digging narrow trenches when laying pipes and cables, this ‘Powerbreaker’ Square Trench Shovel is part of Bulldog’s range of Insulated Digging Tools. Manufactured to BS8020 standards, tested to 10,000 volts, and guaranteed to 1,000 volts, this shovel also comes supplied with a Certificate of Conformity.
This Square Trench Shovel boasts a (L) 290mm x (W) 125mm blade which has been solid-forged with the socket from a single piece of manganese steel for maximum strength. It has also been given an epoxy coating for added durability. The blade’s round corners meanwhile help to dramatically reduce penetration damage caused to underground pipes and cables when digging.
This shovel also features a heavy-duty 28” (711mm) shaft and YD handle, made from a single solid fibreglass piece for excellent toughness and longevity. The D-shaped handle also ensures comfortable use, enabling you to keep a firm hold on the shovel. Finally, the rubber collar incorporates a protective wear sleeve, working to insulate and protect your hands, and ensuring safe use at all times.
