The narrow blade of the Border Spade makes this the perfect alternative to the heavier garden spade, and a particularly useful tool for working in confined areas of your garden. The (L) 230mm x (W) 140mm blade and socket are solid-forged from one piece of steel for excellent durability, and treads have been welded to the top edge of the blade, protecting your shoes from damage and helping you to avoid slipping when working in damp conditions. The 28” (711mm) shaft meanwhile is made of high-quality ash, varnished for weather-resistance, and the high-grade polypropylene (PD) handle is built to resist rot, rust, and the elements.
