Are you a lumberjack? Are you ok? If not, then ECHO’s CS-680 20” commercial grade felling chainsaw might be the perfect solution to your troubles, providing all the cutting power to let you sleep all night (safe in the knowledge that you have a truly heavy duty saw to hand when the need arises) and work all day. Designed for professionals, the CS-680 will even get the job done quickly and efficiently enough to leave time to have buttered scones for tea (should you feel so inclined).
Laboured Monty Python references aside, the CS-680 is a chainsaw built for truly serious forestry work. A rather magnificent 66.8cc two-stroke petrol engine, for example, provides smooth running power and more than enough clout to make even challenging cutting work look easy. As a professional machine designed for constant day-to-day use, it is also significant that the CS-680 boasts a high capacity 0.64 litre fuel tank (thereby reducing service requirements when taking on heavier workloads) and a choke with automatic fast idle for reliably hassle-free starting. The CS-680 is also fitted as standard with an impressively potent 50cm (20”) guide bar and 3/8” chain, thereby making the most of the power delivered by the engine. Furthermore, it is easy to adapt the CS-680 to suit a wide range of cutting conditions, with features such as a side mounted chain tensioner and an automatic oil pump ensuring exceptional versatility and great results every time (regardless of the type of wood you are cutting or the chain/bar combination currently in use).
In addition to felling, snedding and bucking trees with remarkable efficiency, the CS-680 is also distinguished by its ergonomic and durable design. With comfortable front and rear handles providing unimpeded access to all controls, for example, along with a relatively modest weight for such a powerful machine (only 6.6kg without bar and chain), the CS-680 is outstandingly easy to use, even over prolonged periods. As you’d expect of any of ECHO’s professional grade chainsaws the CS-680 is also reassuringly tough, with a commercial quality air filter and robust plastic/metal alloy engine casing serving to ensure a long and reliable service life.
ECHO’s CS-680 is therefore a serious machine designed for serious cutting work. And with an effective chain brake and front hand guard also included for added protection against kickback, along with either a five year domestic warranty or a two year commercial manufacturer’s warranty offered with every machine, what more could a budding lumberjack want?
