A dual function blower/leaf shredder which is capable of producing a maximum airflow of up to 522m/h at 67.5m/s, the ES-250ES will quickly clear loose leaves, twigs, dirt and debris from lawns and hard surfaces with the bare minimum of hassle.

While the phrase “Shred ‘N’ Vac” might sound like a nightmarish corruption of a popular 1980s carpet freshening powder, or perhaps just an epithet for a Hoover with inadvisably sharp edges, it is in fact the name of ECHO’s superb ES-250ES dual function blower/leaf shredder. Far from tearing up your carpet, then, the ES-250ES Shred ‘N’ Vac is designed to make keeping your garden clear from loose leaves, twigs, dirt and debris with the minimum of hassle. Which, we think you’ll agree, is infinitely preferable to the alternative.

Look beyond the name and it becomes obvious that ECHO’s ES-250ES is a rather handy piece of equipment, equally effective whether used as a traditional blower or a vacuum/leaf shredder. Capable of producing a maximum airflow of up to 522m³/h at 67.5m/s, as a blower the ES-250ES allows you to gather loose leaves and other debris quickly and efficiently, clearing paths, driveways and lawns effortlessly. In vacuum mode, meanwhile, leaves can be collected in the ES-250ES’s generously proportioned collection bag. With exclusively designed asymmetric cutters on the fan to shred leaves and other light material as you vacuum (with a mulching ratio of 12:1), the ES-250ES can also be used to tackle heavier workloads and produces shredded cuttings ideal for composting.

Powered by a hardworking 25.4cc two-stroke petrol engine, the ES-250ES Shred ‘N’ Vac has been precision engineered to be more fuel efficient and cleaner running than many competing blower/vacuums, with Power Boost Tornado technology included to improve combustion and reduce emissions. Along with the 0.47 litre fuel tank, this system also helps to ensure enough run time to allow uninterrupted use during most domestic clearance tasks. This is complemented by the inclusion of a clever EasyStart system, which reduces the resistance of the starter cord to help guarantee hassle-free starting every time.

Further ergonomic features include the ES-250ES Shred ‘N’ Vac’s EZ-lock connection system, which provides a secure connection between the engine unit and the blower/vacuum tube, and a cleverly design handle system with all controls within easy reach. With its compact design and low weight (only 5.7kg) the ES-250ES also handles superbly, making it easier to achieve a truly immaculate finish as a result. As with all ECHO machinery the ES-250ES is built to last and comes with either a five year domestic warranty or a two year commercial warranty as standard, so you can trust it to perform admirably in just about any situation (a high quality air filter, for example, ensures that no power is lost in dusty environments). Moreover, with an optional rain gutter attachment also available the ES-250ES Shred ‘N’ Vac can even be used to clear blocked gutters, making it a supremely helpful tool to have around for any homeowner.

About Echo
ECHO has been a leading Japanese manufacturer of commercial quality outdoor power equipment for over thirty years, but the origins of the company can be traced back further still. This is because ECHO is a branch of the Yamabiko Corporation, which was formed with the merger of the Kioritz Corporation and the Shindaiwa Corporation after WWII. Both of these companies had over fifty years of experience in their respective fields and the Yamabiko Corporation continued this heritage by drawing upon the experience of both, releasing a revolutionary new backpack power-duster in 1947. This was followed by the first Kyoritsu ‘power scythe’ brushcutter 1960, and in 1968 by the first “ECHO” product, the CS-80 chainsaw. Since then, ECHO has become a name associated with high performance, highly durable and superbly easy to use power tools across the globe.

Extremely reliable and dependable, ECHO tools are ergonomically designed to be comfortable to use and perform to the very highest professional standards every working day. ECHO also continues to innovate, striving to stay at the cutting edge of technological development in order to provide the best products possible. This is particularly evident in the company’s development of low noise, low vibration and low emission engine technology, making ECHO tools significantly easier to use and better for the environment than many competing machines.

These days the iconic orange casing of ECHO power tools can be found in garden sheds and garages throughout the UK, and with a wide range of products available for both commercial and domestic users, including a variety of handy chainsaws, hedgetrimmers, brushcutters and leaf blowers, there is therefore almost certainly an ECHO tool ideal for you, whatever your particular requirements.
