Echo HC-341ES Petrol Hedgetrimmer

  • Product Details

In the 1986 Australian comedy film Crocodile Dundee our eponymous Antipodean hero is at one point confronted by a teenage mugger with a knife. Much to the dismay of the aspiring mugger, Mr. Dundee responds to being threatened with a switchblade by drawing a somewhat intimidating bowie knife and uttering the immortal line “That’s not a knife… THAT’s a knife.” Our hero’s potential assailant chooses to withdraw at this point, but were he carrying the HC-341ES at the time (a powerful single-sided hedgetrimmer featuring the longest cutter blade available from ECHO), even everyone’s favourite roguish bushman may have had to concede defeat.

The primary benefit of a single-sided hedgetrimmer is that it makes the machine lighter and thus permits the use of a longer blade. ECHO’s HC-341ES takes advantage of this to an almost ludicrous extent, boasting an incredible 101cm single-sided cutting blade. This makes trimming long, straight sections of hedge nigh on effortless, so the HC-341ES is ideal for tending to the extensive hedgerows of country estates and parks. Made from hardened steel to ensure durability, the blades are specifically designed to maintain sharpness over time and thus to ensure exceptional results. For added convenience the HC-341ES is also fitted with a handy clipping collector, ensuring unimpeded progress and efficient cutting by removing loose vegetation as you work.

Size isn’t everything though and the HC-341ES’s admittedly impressive blade would be nothing without the powerful 23.6cc two-stroke petrol engine at the heart of this machine. Designed to be quiet and clean running, this engine also benefits from the inclusion of ECHO’s clever EasyStart system which reduces recoil pull resistance to ensure hassle-free starting. A high capacity 0.5 litre fuel tank, meanwhile, allows you to work for extended periods of time without stopping and even features an extra-wide vertical opening to permit quick and hassle-free refuelling with zero spillages.

This kind of clever ergonomic design is evident throughout the HC-341ES, with features such as ECHO’s superb anti-vibration system working to make this excellent hedgetrimmer reassuringly comfortable and easy to use. The high grip front and rear handles and well-balanced build of the HC-341ES also helps to enhance manoeuvrability, thus further improving the efficiency and ease of use of this outstanding piece of kit. Perhaps even more importantly, however, is that the HC-341ES is more than tough enough to withstand the daily grind of commercial horticultural work, with adjustable cutter clearance included to ensure a longer blade life and a three-stage heavy duty air filter fitted to protect the engine. The HC-341ES is therefore the perfect tool for the serious professional user. This fact is further underlined by ECHO’s offer of a two year commercial warranty as standard, providing added peace of mind so that you can demand the very most when faced with tough hedgerow maintenance work.

    About Echo
ECHO has been a leading Japanese manufacturer of commercial quality outdoor power equipment for over thirty years, but the origins of the company can be traced back further still. This is because ECHO is a branch of the Yamabiko Corporation, which was formed with the merger of the Kioritz Corporation and the Shindaiwa Corporation after WWII. Both of these companies had over fifty years of experience in their respective fields and the Yamabiko Corporation continued this heritage by drawing upon the experience of both, releasing a revolutionary new backpack power-duster in 1947. This was followed by the first Kyoritsu ‘power scythe’ brushcutter 1960, and in 1968 by the first “ECHO” product, the CS-80 chainsaw. Since then, ECHO has become a name associated with high performance, highly durable and superbly easy to use power tools across the globe.

Extremely reliable and dependable, ECHO tools are ergonomically designed to be comfortable to use and perform to the very highest professional standards every working day. ECHO also continues to innovate, striving to stay at the cutting edge of technological development in order to provide the best products possible. This is particularly evident in the company’s development of low noise, low vibration and low emission engine technology, making ECHO tools significantly easier to use and better for the environment than many competing machines.

These days the iconic orange casing of ECHO power tools can be found in garden sheds and garages throughout the UK, and with a wide range of products available for both commercial and domestic users, including a variety of handy chainsaws, hedgetrimmers, brushcutters and leaf blowers, there is therefore almost certainly an ECHO tool ideal for you, whatever your particular requirements.
