Product Description

Progress is a wonderful thing. Once upon a time, anyone working as a professional landscaper or gardener would likely have both a grass trimmer and a more heavy-duty brushcutter, which is fine enough but not exactly convenient if you need to switch between the two quickly. Nor is the extra weight of two machines helpful in terms of transportation and storage. Luckily, ECHO’s High Torque brushcutters, including the SRM-300TESL, combine the power of a heavy-duty brushcutter with the benefits of a lighter two-stroke engine, making these machines perfect for commercial grass cutting applications.

Key to this outstanding and unprecedented level of performance is ECHO’s innovative High Torque technology, with a gear reduction ratio of 1:2.07 meaning that the SRM-300TESL is capable of producing up to 50% higher torque than previous models. With this system (described as “gearbox magic” in a review by Horticulture Week) bolstering performance, the SRM-300TESL boasts a superb power-to-weight ratio which allows it to compete with much higher capacity machines.

This cutting power is channelled into the SRM-300TESL’s versatile and efficient dual nylon line trimmer head, which features a semi-automatic ‘Tap & Go’ feed system for added convenience; simply tap the trimmer head against the ground and the cutting line is quickly and effortlessly advanced to an optimal working length. As well as saving valuable time and effort, the extra efficiency afforded by this system means that the SRM-300TESL is pleasingly effective even when used for bigger cutting jobs, such as clearing long grass and nettles from areas of lawn inaccessible to a conventional lawnmower. Moreover, with an optional range of tough metal grass blades and a potent saw blade also available, the SRM-300TESL can easily be adapted to take on even the very toughest cutting jobs.

The power for all of this is supplied via an impressively industrious 28.1cc two-stroke petrol engine, built to the highest specification with a hard wearing, chrome-plated cylinder included for an extended service life and increased durability. In addition to this, the engine also benefits from ECHO’s Power Boost Tornado technology™, which works to reduce noise and particle emissions while also optimising the combustion process for increased fuel efficiency. This, along with a clever Easy Start system which reduces starter cord resistance by up to 75%, helps to ensure that the SRM-300TESL is reassuringly user friendly.

For added convenience, the SRM-300TESL is also fitted with an ergonomically designed loop handle and an easy to access control cluster, both of which help to make this outstanding brushcutter comfortable and easy to operate even over extended periods of time, which can be a vital consideration when working on heavy-duty garden and landscape maintenance tasks.

About Echo
ECHO has been a leading Japanese manufacturer of commercial quality outdoor power equipment for over thirty years, but the origins of the company can be traced back further still. This is because ECHO is a branch of the Yamabiko Corporation, which was formed with the merger of the Kioritz Corporation and the Shindaiwa Corporation after WWII. Both of these companies had over fifty years of experience in their respective fields and the Yamabiko Corporation continued this heritage by drawing upon the experience of both, releasing a revolutionary new backpack power-duster in 1947. This was followed by the first Kyoritsu ‘power scythe’ brushcutter 1960, and in 1968 by the first “ECHO” product, the CS-80 chainsaw. Since then, ECHO has become a name associated with high performance, highly durable and superbly easy to use power tools across the globe.

Extremely reliable and dependable, ECHO tools are ergonomically designed to be comfortable to use and perform to the very highest professional standards every working day. ECHO also continues to innovate, striving to stay at the cutting edge of technological development in order to provide the best products possible. This is particularly evident in the company’s development of low noise, low vibration and low emission engine technology, making ECHO tools significantly easier to use and better for the environment than many competing machines.

These days the iconic orange casing of ECHO power tools can be found in garden sheds and garages throughout the UK, and with a wide range of products available for both commercial and domestic users, including a variety of handy chainsaws, hedgetrimmers, brushcutters and leaf blowers, there is therefore almost certainly an ECHO tool ideal for you, whatever your particular requirements.
