Maintaining a healthy green lawn takes a little more than simply using a lawnmower; you also need to make sure that the roots of your grass are able to breathe freely and absorb moisture. Build-ups of thatch and moss can prevent this, so scarifing your grass is essential. Efco’s AG 40 R45 is a petrol lawn scarifier designed to do just this, dispensing with time-consuming manual methods such as using a hand fork or sprung rake. The scarifierr’s set of fixed, hardened steel knives is capable of penetrating hard compacted soil where scarification is particularly important for keeping grass alive. Moreover, as the AG 40 R45 features a tough steel deck with an operating width of 40cm it is perfect for maintaining medium to large areas of grass up to 2000m².
The AG 40 R45 is built with a completely reliable 127cc Briggs and Stratton petrol engine and incredibly robust wheels, which feature high quality bearings to ensure smoother movement on rough terrain. Flexibility, meanwhile, is offered by the scarifier’s built-in height adjustment memory system, ensuring a consistent cut and superb versatility. The generous size of the fabric collection bag improves efficiency, as you will not need to stop and empty it too often, while the folding handlebars make storage an easier task and save you valuable space.
