Most petrol powered brushcutters feature two-stroke engines, partly because two-stroke engines are cheap and simple to manufacture; however, two-stroke engines are often also inefficient, noisy and dirty compared to equivalent four-stroke models. Efco’s development of powerful four-stroke brushcutters has thus resulted in a range of machines which are less expensive to run, cleaner and quieter than comparable two-stroke machines, with clever ‘Burn Right’ technology included to further improve combustion and ensure optimum performance at all times.

The DS 3600 4S is one such brushcutter, designed to offer a perfect balance between cutting power and user-friendliness and featuring a superbly efficient 35.8cc four-stroke petrol engine. The combination of four-stroke technology and Efco’s ‘Burn Right’ system means that harmful emissions, vibrations and noise are drastically reduced, providing a working experience which is better for you, those around you, and the environment. What’s more, the DS 3600 4S’s four-stroke engine burns fuel at half the rate of a two-stroke engine, saving up to 50% on fuel costs, and as the four-stroke includes a separate chamber for oil you do not need to use a specialised two-stroke fuel mix. With a digital coil also included to ensure quick and hassle-free starting, every aspect of the DS 3600 4S’s drive system has been designed to make this impressive brushcutter as easy to use as possible.

Part of Efco’s ‘Tough-Tech’ range, the DS 3600 4S is also reassuringly robust and able to tackle even the toughest garden maintenance work. To ensure great results in a range of cutting situations, for instance, a dual nylon trimmer head and a sturdy metal brushcutter blade are both supplied as standard. The trimmer head is notable for featuring Efco’s semi-automatic ‘Tap & Go’ line feed system, allowing you to advance the cutting line by simply tapping the head against the ground, as well as ‘Load & Go’ technology to facilitate effortless reloading of the nylon cutting line. Both of these features save vital time and effort and thus boost overall working efficiency. The brushcutter blade, meanwhile, will tear through even the densest vegetation with ease, making big clearance jobs significantly easier.

Both cutting modes benefit from the added protection offered by a hardwearing plastic blade guard which deflects clippings and other debris accidentally thrown up by the cutting gear. For added comfort and convenience, meanwhile, the DS 3600 4S is supplied with both an ergonomically designed, high-grip loop handle and a supportive single-shoulder harness, both of which work to ensure an optimum working position with complete freedom of movement. This, and much more, makes Efco’s DS 3600 4S a great choice for the discerning home gardener looking for a powerful and easy to use brushcutter designed for tough lawn maintenance work.

About Efco
Giacomo Ferretti set the foundations of the Efco brand on the road to success back in 1978, spotting an opportunity to satisfy an Italian market beginning to demand high quality outdoor power tools. He responded by producing Efco lawnmowers, brush cutters, and chainsaws. Due to the high quality of the machinery made, the manufacturing of these products soon developed an enviable reputation amongst forestry and agricultural workers, users that demanded the best performance possible from their equipment. Sales of Efco lawnmowers began to soar during the intervening years and the Efco brand is now internationally recognised as a leader in the field of garden machinery manufacturing.

They take their role very seriously though, and were the first company in this sector to achieve official certification in three crucial areas of business sustainability: the ISO 9001:2008 certification for quality in 1996, the SA 8000:2008 certificate for ethical processes of production in 2006 and the ISO 14001:2004, recognising Efco's efforts to reduce their impact on the environment with an ongoing commitment to become Carbon Neutral starting in 2010.
