Efco’s ‘Sharp-Pro’ range is comprised of an impressive variety of no-nonsense everyday tools designed for the busy professional, all of which stand out for the toughness of their components, their high performance and their matchless long-term durability. The DS 4300 S, for example, is a commercial grade brushcutter designed specifically for clearing thick grass, shrubs and undergrowth, providing a brilliantly practical balance between convenience and power ideal for prolonged periods of intensive use.
In terms of power, an impressive 44cc two-stroke petrol engine makes the DS 4300 S capable of delivering high torque even at low revs for outstandingly dependable performance. Built with a durable steel crankshaft and a high grade two-ringed piston, diamond finished for maximum quality over time, the engine receives additional protection from its tough magnesium alloy housing and a paper air filter designed to ensure reliability in dusty environments. For added convenience, the DS 4300 S also features a handy ‘Easy On’ system and a decompression valve to make starting quick and hassle-free.
In addition to being admirably powerful the DS 4300 S offers great versatility in terms of grass cutting, with both a sturdy dual nylon line trimmer head and a tough metal grass blade supplied as standard. The trimmer head, which excels when used for cutting areas of lawn inaccessible to a conventional lawnmower, features a ‘Tap & Go’ line feed system for added convenience, allowing you to advance the cutting line by simply tapping the trimmer head against the ground. A clever ‘Load & Go’ system, meanwhile, means that even inexperienced users can reload the cutting line in a matter of seconds without any need for additional tools. The grass blade, on the other hand, is ideal for taking on tougher cutting work, such as clearing larger patches of weeds, thistles, nettles and other dense vegetation.
Both cutting modes benefit from the inclusion of a robust plastic blade guard which deflects clippings, stones and other debris thrown up by the cutting system, thus assuring your safety and comfort while you work. Other ergonomic features include a comfortable, high-grip loop handle and a single-shoulder harness, both of which help to improve freedom of movement and prevent strain over extended periods of intensive use. All of this makes the DS 4300 S a great machine for sustained work, such as maintaining parks, gardens and other green spaces, while also ensuring that the user is protected at all times.

About EfcoGiacomo Ferretti set the foundations of the Efco brand on the road to success back in 1978, spotting an opportunity to satisfy an Italian market beginning to demand high quality outdoor power tools. He responded by producing Efco lawnmowers, brush cutters, and chainsaws. Due to the high quality of the machinery made, the manufacturing of these products soon developed an enviable reputation amongst forestry and agricultural workers, users that demanded the best performance possible from their equipment. Sales of Efco lawnmowers began to soar during the intervening years and the Efco brand is now internationally recognised as a leader in the field of garden machinery manufacturing.
They take their role very seriously though, and were the first company in this sector to achieve official certification in three crucial areas of business sustainability: the ISO 9001:2008 certification for quality in 1996, the SA 8000:2008 certificate for ethical processes of production in 2006 and the ISO 14001:2004, recognising Efco's efforts to reduce their impact on the environment with an ongoing commitment to become Carbon Neutral starting in 2010.
