With its strong steel deck and wide cutting width of 46cm, the Efco LR 48 TBR Allroad Plus 4 is perfect for medium-sized gardens, offering the utmost flexibility of cut with four different ways in which you can dispose of your grass cuttings: collection, side discharge, rear discharge and mulching. It is also smooth-running, even on rougher ground, as well as easy to operate and comfortable to use.
For grass collection, this mower is equipped with a large 70 litre capacity fabric and plastic grass box. This is straightforward to assemble, without the bother of using tools, and comes fitted with a useful full-bag indicator to tell you when the box needs emptying, so you won’t need to stop and check. For the side and rear discharge options, a deflector is supplied as standard, providing safety by preventing cuttings, soil and anything else on the lawn, such as stones, from being discharged towards you. The deflector is also easily attached; for the side discharge option, for example, you simply open the side tunnel and insert the deflector. Finally, a mulching plug is supplied for the environmentally friendly mulching option. This function returns grass cuttings to the ground, pushing them down into the soil so that they can break down and work as a fertilizer, promoting healthy growth and a lush green lawn. Flexibility is also offered by the mower’s single central lever, which is used to adjust the height of cut to one of five different positions, between 28mm and 75mm.
Power to this self-propelled mower is supplied by an efficient Briggs & Stratton single cylinder four-stroke 575 EX Series engine, which produces a forward speed of 3.6 km/h, saving you the effort of pushing. This, alongside the machine’s large wheels (200mm diameter for the front and 280mm for the back), ensures incredibly smooth movement and makes the whole mowing experience a lot easier for you. The mower is operated via ergonomic engine brake and clutch levers, providing a safe and comfortable grip. Meanwhile, a front bumper assures added safety and protection in case you accidentally bump against anything whilst mowing. Finally, the handlebars can be moved into different positions, so you can find the right height for you and avoid straining your back. When you’re finished mowing, the handlebars also fold, meaning the mower takes up less room when you store it away.
