Whether you’re growing beautiful blooms in an ornamental flowerbed or your own range of organic fruit and veg, the quality of your soil will go a long way in determining how well anything you plant in your garden grows. Luckily, there are a few green-fingered things you can do to help make sure the plant life in your garden grows strong and healthy, including properly preparing the soil prior to sowing seeds. Even more luckily, with the tiller attachment for Efco’s superb Multimate system, cultivating soil in flowerbeds and vegetable patches has never been simpler.
Supplied as standard with a set of four blades which provide a working width of 30cm, Efco’s rotary tiller turns and loosens soil while also uprooting weeds which may otherwise impede the growth of nearby plants. This is ideal for preparing soil for grass seeding, as well as digging furrows for planting other flowers, shrubs and vegetables. When working in tighter spaces, such as between narrowly spaced rows of plants, you can also use the tiller with only two rotors for a more precise operating width of 15cm. Moreover, for even greater versatility the tiller attachment can also be used with a range of optional accessories, including set of four cutters designed for turning soft soil, a scarifier for freeing turf of moss and thatch, and even a plough for deeper furrowing.
The tiller is also impressively tough, with an aluminium casing helping to ensure a long service life and a sturdy rotor guard to deflect soil, stones and other debris thrown up during operation. Foldable handlebars have been included to facilitate storage and transportation, providing excellent added convenience if space is an issue, while a pair of durable, smooth running wheels make moving from one site to another reassuringly quick and simple. As such, Efco’s tiller attachment is an amazing way to significantly increase the versatility of your Multimate system, as well as a pleasingly effective tool for preparing and cultivating the soil in your garden.
