A compact mini-tiller ideal for even the most dedicated home gardener. Powered by an ultra-lightweight mini four-stroke petrol engine and supplied with a set of four blades, the MZ 2030 can also be used with only two blades for greater precision.

A garden doesn’t have to be just an outside space where plants and grass grow; it can also be a long-term project requiring passion and commitment, something which you tend and which grows with you over the years. To do this, however, you need effective horticultural tools which are built to last. Designed as part of Efco’s user-friendly HomePlus range, the MZ 2030 is a compact mini-tiller ideal for even the most dedicated home gardener and versatile enough to fulfil a number of important tasks.

As a tiller, of course, its primary function is soil cultivation. Fitted as standard with a set of four blades, giving an operating width of 30cm, the MZ 2030 loosens, turns and aerates compacted soil while simultaneously uprooting weeds. What’s more, as the cutters operate independently of one another and can be quickly removed without tools, the MZ 2030 can also be used with only two blades, thereby limiting the operating width to 15cm and permitting work between narrowly spaced rows of plants. For even greater versatility, however, this nippy little machine can also be used with a range of accessories (available separately), including a set of four alternative cutter blades designed for use in soft soil, a roller brush for keeping porches, patios and steps clean, and a scarifier for freeing moss and thatch from lawns.

The MZ 2030 thus has the potential to make it much simpler to keep your garden in good overall shape, and with power supplied via an ultra-lightweight 25cc Honda GX25 mini four-stroke petrol engine and a single-speed gearbox driving the cutters you can rest assured of reliably exceptional performance. The Honda GX25 actually deserves special mention, as it is one of the most compact four-stroke engines on the market today and delivers superbly clean and quiet power with pleasingly little fuss. Furthermore, with its compact, lightweight build (only 14kg) and sturdy rear wheels, the MZ 2030 is also remarkably manoeuvrable and easy to handle.

Speaking of handles, the MZ 2030’s are conveniently reversible and fold away to save space during storage and transportation. Moreover, with an integrated on/off switch and accelerator lever situated on the handgrip for maximum accessibility and convenience, the MZ 2030 is also reassuringly easy to operate. Even better, however, is that Efco’s longstanding commitment to quality engineering and the MZ 2030’s robust aluminium housing mean that this tough machine can offer many, many years of reliable service, thus ensuring the lasting health of your garden.

About Efco
Giacomo Ferretti set the foundations of the Efco brand on the road to success back in 1978, spotting an opportunity to satisfy an Italian market beginning to demand high quality outdoor power tools. He responded by producing Efco lawnmowers, brush cutters, and chainsaws. Due to the high quality of the machinery made, the manufacturing of these products soon developed an enviable reputation amongst forestry and agricultural workers, users that demanded the best performance possible from their equipment. Sales of Efco lawnmowers began to soar during the intervening years and the Efco brand is now internationally recognised as a leader in the field of garden machinery manufacturing.

They take their role very seriously though, and were the first company in this sector to achieve official certification in three crucial areas of business sustainability: the ISO 9001:2008 certification for quality in 1996, the SA 8000:2008 certificate for ethical processes of production in 2006 and the ISO 14001:2004, recognising Efco's efforts to reduce their impact on the environment with an ongoing commitment to become Carbon Neutral starting in 2010.
