The “4S” in the Eliet Minor 4S’s name stands for “four seasons”. Rather than being a shredder for use in luxury hotels, or designed exclusively for fans of Vivaldi, this nomenclature refers far more literally to the fact that the Minor 4S is a shredder built for year round use, shredding all kinds of kitchen and garden waste with ease. Thus, whether dealing with dead branches in the winter, leafy and wet green waste in the autumn, any number of materials in the spring, ranging from blossoms and hedge trimmings to all other kinds of damp and bulky green waste, or woody and leafy waste in the summer, the Minor 4S is a spectacularly handy beast to have around.
A semi-professional machine designed for tackling heavy workloads, an additional advantage of the Minor 4S’s ability to shred any kind of green waste is that it eliminates the need to sort material before setting to work. With a comfortable feed height and a spacious hopper, this means that the 4S is also satisfyingly straightforward to use; simply feed branches, foliage and wet waste into the wide intake opening and let the Minor 4S’s twelve reversible, razor-sharp, hardened steel blades do all the work. This impressive cutting system is capable of achieving up to 30,000 cuts per minute with a maximum cutting diameter of 45mm, so even tough, woody material can be cut quickly and efficiently, while the inclusion of a 270° variable angle blow chute allows you to direct where chopped debris is deposited for a tidier finish.
The Minor 4S is also notable for featuring a Turbo Discharge™ system which creates a vacuum effect and sucks green waste into the shredder, before then blowing the shredded matter out through the exit chute. The constant airflow of the turbo generator also cleans the system as you work, helping to prevent clogging even when working with wet material. Equally important is the effect of Eliet’s clever Chopping Principle™, which ensures that woody material is cut along the grain to produce small, uniform chips which are ideal for both composting and use as filling material for your garden borders.
Power is also vital, of course, and this model is driven by a potent 187cc Honda GC190 four-stroke petrol engine. Compact yet superbly powerful, this engine is fuel efficient and designed for quiet, smooth performance. As you’d expect from a Honda engine, the GC190 is also reassuringly reliable, with a Dua-Lube System and a single element air filter helping to ensure long lasting performance. This reliability complements the Minor 4S all-round toughness perfectly, with a thick sheet steel frame and a belt-driven blade shaft featuring double bearings making sure that this exceptional machine is more than capable of providing many years of dependable service.
Fitted with thick pneumatic tyres which make transporting the Minor 4S around your garden pleasingly easy, and which also absorb engine vibration during use for even greater convenience, this impressive machine is perfect for dedicated home gardeners and anyone who needs a quick and effective method of disposing of large amounts of garden waste. Supplied as standard with a pair of gloves, safety glasses and ear defenders to help ensure safe and comfortable operation at all times, the Minor 4S is undoubtedly one of the best domestic shredders available on the market today.

About ElietA revival in the garden machinery trade during the 1970s inspired Emiel Lietaer, a 9th generation blacksmith, to use his metal working skills to begin production of a range of products that would ultimately revolutionise the gardening market. It was at the International Agricultural Week at the Heysel, in Brussels, 1986, that the quality of these new products was recognised and here that the Belgian brand now known as Eliet was finally born. Demand grew, investments were made and the company expanded into a world leader, producing some of the finest garden waste disposal and turf care products available.
Constantly being on the lookout for ways to improve their products keeps the Eliet name at the forefront of design, creating unique solutions to solve longstanding problems. Take for example the patented Eliet Chopping PrincipleTM, used in their petrol and electric garden shredders. It not only produces the best quality wood chippings for composting and mulching, it also reduces engine wear and fuel consumption, thus reducing outlay for both domestic and commercial operators. The Eliet design team are already working on the next generation of garden machinery products, destined to make your gardening and horticultural tasks easier and more efficient, saving you time and money and also lessening our impact on the environment.
