Product Description

The Flymo Easi Glide 330VX is an electric hover mower with a powerful motor and a grass collecting box, making this machine as convenient as a wheeled one while retaining the manoeuvrability of a hover mower. As the name suggests, the 330VX floats on a cushion of air, allowing it to tackle slopes and other uneven surfaces where a wheeled mower would become bogged down or would simply fail to reach. The hover mower is also much easier to use on the flat than a wheeled machine; being both lighter and more manoeuvrable it can be easily used by anyone, whatever their strength or experience of mowing. The lightness is also an advantage when it comes to transport and storage; while not the lightest hover mower on the market, the Easi Glide 330VX is light enough to simply pick up and carry. Its sturdy handle folds down to make transport and storage simple, reducing this already compact mower to a neat size that can be slotted into a small space.

Not only is this mower light, manoeuvrable and easy to store, it is also extremely user-friendly. The grass collecting box is a good example of this; it has a capacity of 20L, but will compress the grass after collecting to give maximum mowing time before emptying is required. This model also incorporates a window in the cutting box to allow you to see when it needs emptying, but to make the Easi Glide 330VX even more convenient to use the collecting box itself is translucent, further reducing the risk of grass clippings being strewn untidily over the lawn. When the time comes to empty the collecting box it simply lifts out of the mower, with no stiff clips or fiddly switches.

Adding to the convenience of the Easi Glide 330VX is the fact that it comes fully assembled, and it has an electric motor, eliminating the need to buy, store or add petrol and allowing you to simply plug it in and start mowing. It has a durable metal, rather than flimsy plastic, blade, and can be easily adjusted to any of four cutting heights with the spacers provided. This means the machine will easily handle tough conditions, such as grass you may have thought too long or wet to tackle with a light mower.

About Flymo
Inspired by the invention of Christopher Cockerell's hovercraft several years earlier, it was in 1964 that Karl Dahlman's hover mower design won a gold medal at the Brussels Inventors' Fair, thereby marking the beginning of one of the best known brands in British gardening. Full-scale production of petrol-powered Flymo hover mowers was in place by 1965, based in the new factory at Newton Aycliffe, County Durham. A few years later the first electric hover mowers were launched and a whole new world of mowing was available to the British public. Flymo hover mowers have been finding homes in British garden sheds ever since.

The Flymo hover mowers brand has gone from strength to strength since these early days and it is hard to imagine visiting a garden centre now and not seeing the bright orange machines lining the aisles, with tools varying from battery powered grass trimmers to electric garden vacuums. Now part of the Electrolux Group, Flymo can rightly claim to sell over one million products within the U.K. during a financial year. They also boast a considerable export market; in doing so they have received multiple Queen's Awards for their achievements.
