Product Description

Over time and without the proper attention soil can become heavily compacted and not conducive to planting. When this happens you do not want to find yourself stuck outside with nothing but a hoe in hand, tentatively prodding at the hard ground and wondering what has come of your life, especially when you could get the job done quickly and efficiently if you only had the right tool. A big, tough machine for big, tough tasks, the F720 is the largest and heaviest rotary cultivator in Honda’s tiller range. As you might expect, this makes it perfect for heavy duty soil preparation work but the magnificent versatility of the F720 means that it is far more than just a cultivator.

Supplied as standard with large removable transport wheels with pneumatic chevron tyres for outstanding manoeuvrability on all kinds of terrain, the F720 is essentially a powerful two-wheel tractor unit customisable with a range of optional accessories (available separately) depending on the situation at hand. Your tilling options include a five tine cultivator and a rear rotary cultivator (offering a maximum tilling width/depth of 90cm/36cm), with heavy duty slasher rotors and extensions available for breaking down very heavy soil. The F720 also features front and rear hitch points as standard, with other available attachments including a reversible plough, a ridger accessory and a potato lifter tool.

Power is supplied by a hardworking, fuel efficient 196cc Honda GX200 four-stroke petrol engine, built with a cast iron cylinder sleeve and a dual element air cleaner for proven reliability and a longer service life. This is complemented by the inclusion of an eight-speed gearbox with six forward and two reverse gears, thus ensuring complete control and optimal performance regardless of conditions underfoot. Also handy is the high capacity 2.1 litre fuel tank with a large opening designed to facilitate refuelling, while the automatic mechanical de-compression system and a heavy duty recoil starter work to save valuable time and effort from the moment you set to work.

Additional ergonomic features include the power-take off fitting (allowing you to take full advantage of the potent Honda engine), optional crop protections discs and a side clutch to make changing direction easier. The pièce de résistance when it comes to the F720’s user-friendly credentials, however, is almost certainly its cleverly designed handlebar; height-adjustable and fitted with secure hand grips for comfort, the handlebar also swivels to each side and flips 180° to permit safe operation from just about any angle. This ensures ease of use regardless of the tool currently attached and allows you to work without trampling recently turned soil, while the handles also fold away for convenience during storage and transportation. Given this combination of straightforward operation, versatility and heavy duty construction, the F720 is perfectly equipped to offer many years of dependably superb performance.

About Honda
A legendary brand know across the globe and synonymous with quality, the Honda marque traces its origins back to founder Soichiro Honda who marketed his own self-styled piston designs before World War II. From this beginning the Honda Motor Company was born in 1948 with the Honda Cub motorcycle following soon after. Today, the company is the single largest manufacturer of internal combustion engines in the world and it is this pedigree that goes into the development of Honda garden machinery.

Probably best known amongst gardening professionals for their large range of garden tillers and cultivators, Honda also produce some very fine petrol rotary lawn mowers, in particular their core range of domestic machines, known as the HRX models, that have rewritten modern lawn mower design. Not content with producing some of the best lawn mowers available, Honda have also turned the powered hand-tool sector upside-down by replacing traditional 2-stroke fuelled power units with the cleaner, quieter 4-stroke engines that the company is famous for. Never content with the present, Honda are certain to carry on developing their garden machinery products to stay at the cutting edge of design and performance.
