It’d probably be an exaggeration to say that heavy, hardened soil is the ‘gardener’s nightmare’ (we have it on good authority most gardeners actually have nightmares about being stuck in a greenhouse with a pack of rabid tomato plants), but there can be little doubt that dealing with large areas of uncultivated ground is often backbreaking work. Those who prefer not to have their back broken, therefore, should use one of Honda’s professional grade rotary tillers equipped with these heavy duty slasher rotors, which are simply perfect for breaking hard or uncultivated ground in preparation for planting or seeding.
Easy to fit and adjust thanks to an intuitive attachment system, Honda’s slasher rotors and extension kits are available for use with the F502/510 (HUK DM 6 & HUK DM 9) and F660/720 (ACM 54 & ACM 55) rotary cultivators. Made from hardened materials for extra durability, these rotors will penetrate uncultivated ground and break down heavy soil to leave a medium tilth ready for further cultivation, planting or seeding. Furthermore, both sets of rotors can be customised to offer a working width suitable for your particular needs. The F510 can therefore be quickly adapted for working widths between 33cm and 66cm with the basic rotor set (HUK DM 6) and up to 90cm with the extension kit (HUK DM 9), while the larger F720 offers working widths between 36cm and 66cm with the basic set (HUK ACM 54) and up to 90cm with extensions (HUK ACM 55). This means that you can use your Honda tiller for breaking hard ground in an impressive variety of situations, so no plot of land will remain uncultivated when you have slasher rotors to hand!
