Product Description

In the very smallest of gardens, handheld shears may still suffice for trimming back overgrown hedges and shrubs. With any larger garden, however, or if you just want to get the job done as quickly and efficiently as possible, then a powered hedgetrimmer is almost certainly the way to go. Designed specifically for residential use and superb ease of operation, Husqvarna’s 122 HD45 is a machine ideal for any home gardener looking for a hedgetrimmer with which to tend hedges, shrubs and bushes in a domestic setting.

Lightweight but powerful, the 122 HD45 is fitted with an efficient 21.7cc petrol two-stroke engine designed for low-noise operation in residential areas. This hardworking engine will provide all the power you need to keep hedges in good shape while also being quiet and clean running enough to ensure a pleasant working experience. For even greater comfort the 122 HD45 also features Husqvarna’s excellent LowVib® vibration dampening technology, thus preventing fatigue over extended periods of use. A clever Smart Start® system, meanwhile, reduces starter cord resistance by up to 40%, which when combined with the 122 HD45’s fuel pump helps to ensure quick starting every time.

The 122 HD45’s powerful 45cm double-edged cutting blade, meanwhile, is capable of achieving up to 4,050 cuts per minute and features a tooth gap of 28mm for a recommended maximum cutting diameter of 20mm. This is enough to make most domestic trimming work nigh on effortless, while the double-action of the tough cutting blades further improves efficiency. Ergonomically designed and built to be sturdy but lightweight, the 122 HD45 is also reassuringly easy to handle so can be used to achieve a satisfyingly accurate cut. Other little touches, such as the auto-return stop switch which automatically returns to the ‘ON’ position after use for added user convenience, further ensure that the 122 HD45 is an extremely user-friendly machine, perfect even for less experienced gardeners and a pleasingly hassle-free method of keeping your hedgerows well trimmed.

About Husqvarna
Believe it or not, Husqvarna did not start off by manufacturing any type of garden machinery at all. Instead they were established in 1689 as a weapons foundry supplying the Swedish Armed Forces. During the subsequent years, diverse and varied products have been produced, from sewing machines and cast iron kitchen equipment through to bicycles and motorbikes. It wasn't until 1959 that Husqvarna finally made its first chainsaws and engine-driven lawnmowers. The company's reputation for build quality and durability of product has never been in question. This is probably the reason for their line of professional petrol chainsaws being so popular with forestry workers across the globe.

Husqvarna are not afraid to innovate either, introducing the robotic, solar powered Automower® in 1995 and continually looking to improve their existing products by listening to their customers. Jumping onto the grass recycling bandwagon, they also manufacture some of the best mulching lawnmowers available, incorporating Bioclip® technology into the vast majority of their petrol lawn mowers. Be left in no doubt, if you buy any product from the Husqvarna garden machinery stable, you will be buying into Swedish quality that is built to last.
