Broadly speaking, a garden is only what you make of it; something you can shape, modify and transform to suit your needs, but also something living which demands your attention and care. Attention to detail is thus important, as a truly well groomed lawn requires more than simply passing over it with a lawnmower once in a while; it is equally imperative that you tend to edges, borders and other grassy areas which your mower may struggle to reach. Powerful, versatile and pleasingly easy to use, Husqvarna’s 128R is a brushcutter perfectly suited to such tasks, combining the lightness of touch and manoeuvrability of a grass trimmer with the toughness and efficiency of a commercial brushcutter.
Powered by a hard working but clean running 28cc E-Tech® II petrol engine, the 128R also features Smart Start® technology to reduce the effort required to use the recoil start system by up to 40% and an auto-return stop switch which automatically resets to the ‘ON’ position for even greater ease of use. Further convenience comes in the form of a set of fully adjustable ‘cow horn’ style handlebars, ergonomically designed to boost control, comfort and productivity. The 128R is also supplied as standard with a double shoulder harness which distributes the machine’s weight evenly to prevent strain during extended periods of use.
The versatility of the 128R, meanwhile, is underlined by its dual cutting system. When dealing with boundaries, borders and other areas of lawn which are hard to reach with a conventional lawnmower (such as around the edges of ornaments and under bushes), the 128R utilises a T25 dual nylon line trimmer head to offer the precision and subtlety required for a pristine finish. This is complemented by the inclusion of an efficient ‘Tap & Go’ line feed system; simply tap the cutting head on the ground to advance the cutting line. Meanwhile, when dealing with patches of dense nettles and weeds or larger areas of overgrown grass, the 128R’s sturdy metal grass blade is designed to handle heavier jobs beyond the capabilities of a normal grass trimmer.
Switching between these two cutting systems is a quick and easy process thanks to the clever design of Husqvarna’s combi-guard, which also works to deflect cuttings and other debris in order to keep you safe during operation. Moreover, both cutting modes benefit from the design of the 128R’s high torque bevel gear, which is positioned parallel to the ground for optimum performance. All of the above contribute to making this machine a highly effective and easy to use brushcutter perfect for heavy domestic use, and it is this combination of convenience, versatility and power which makes Husqvarna’s 128R the outstanding piece of cutting equipment that you and your garden deserve.

About HusqvarnaBelieve it or not, Husqvarna did not start off by manufacturing any type of garden machinery at all. Instead they were established in 1689 as a weapons foundry supplying the Swedish Armed Forces. During the subsequent years, diverse and varied products have been produced, from sewing machines and cast iron kitchen equipment through to bicycles and motorbikes. It wasn't until 1959 that Husqvarna finally made its first chainsaws and engine-driven lawnmowers. The company's reputation for build quality and durability of product has never been in question. This is probably the reason for their line of professional petrol chainsaws being so popular with forestry workers across the globe.
Husqvarna are not afraid to innovate either, introducing the robotic, solar powered Automower® in 1995 and continually looking to improve their existing products by listening to their customers. Jumping onto the grass recycling bandwagon, they also manufacture some of the best mulching lawnmowers available, incorporating Bioclip® technology into the vast majority of their petrol lawn mowers. Be left in no doubt, if you buy any product from the Husqvarna garden machinery stable, you will be buying into Swedish quality that is built to last.
