A professional grade hedgetrimmer built to be superbly durable and featuring one of Husqvarna's clever X-Torq engines which offers increased power alongside an impressive reduction in emissions and fuel consumption.
Husqvarna’s fantastic range of horticultural tools combines old-fashioned toughness with new-fangled technology to produce equipment ideal for tackling heavy duty agricultural, gardening and commercial work with the minimum of fuss and maximum efficiency. An excellent representative of this inspired union of ruggedness and innovation comes in the form of the 226 HD75 S; a professional grade hedgetrimmer built to be superbly durable but also featuring one of Husqvarna’s clever X-Torq® engines.
In addition to the standard air/fuel mix used by regular two-stroke petrol engines, Husqvarna’s X-Torq® engines also use a second stream of unmixed, cleaner air. This second airstream moves through the piston and enters the transfer ports at the upper end, thus becoming the first element that enters the engine cylinder. This in turn significantly increases efficiency by preventing unburned fuel from escaping, resulting in up to a 75% reduction in emissions and up to a 20% reduction in fuel consumption. The 23.6cc model in the 226 HD75 S therefore provides more than enough power to tackle even the toughest cutting conditions, helping to take the strain out of heavier workloads. An integrated fuel pump and primer bulb, meanwhile, help to ensure hassle-free starting.
This impressive power is channelled into an extended 75cm double-edged cutter blade, capable of delivering up to 4,100 cuts per minute and featuring a tooth gap of 28mm for a recommended maximum cutting diameter of 22mm. The length of this blade provides extra cutting power, and with the blade’s razor-sharp, hardened cutting teeth you can be assured of superb results every time. The 226 HD75 S’s adjustable rear handle, meanwhile, offers five working positions to help ensure your comfort when cutting at an angle. For even greater convenience the 226 HD75 S also features a clever LowVib® anti-vibration system and a standalone starter unit, the former of which isolates the user’s hands from engine vibration and the latter of which allows the starter cord to be quickly and easily changed when required.
To ensure that the 226 HD75 S can handle the rigorous demands and tough working conditions involved in professional landscaping work, moreover, this impressive machine has been built to be remarkably sturdy. The gear components, for example, have been specifically developed for a long life under tough conditions, while the blades are designed to maintain their sharpness even with frequent use. You can therefore trust Husqvarna’s 226 HD75 S to be a reliable companion when engaged in challenging hedgerow maintenance work, with few comparable machines able to get the work done quite as quickly or efficiently.

About HusqvarnaBelieve it or not, Husqvarna did not start off by manufacturing any type of garden machinery at all. Instead they were established in 1689 as a weapons foundry supplying the Swedish Armed Forces. During the subsequent years, diverse and varied products have been produced, from sewing machines and cast iron kitchen equipment through to bicycles and motorbikes. It wasn't until 1959 that Husqvarna finally made its first chainsaws and engine-driven lawnmowers. The company's reputation for build quality and durability of product has never been in question. This is probably the reason for their line of professional petrol chainsaws being so popular with forestry workers across the globe.
Husqvarna are not afraid to innovate either, introducing the robotic, solar powered Automower® in 1995 and continually looking to improve their existing products by listening to their customers. Jumping onto the grass recycling bandwagon, they also manufacture some of the best mulching lawnmowers available, incorporating Bioclip® technology into the vast majority of their petrol lawn mowers. Be left in no doubt, if you buy any product from the Husqvarna garden machinery stable, you will be buying into Swedish quality that is built to last.
