One of the major benefits of a battery product is the sound levels. This can be a particularly important consideration if you’re working around built-up residential areas or businesses. The noise levels of these machines are up to 13dB quieter than their petrol equivalents.
With a cowhorn handle positioned high on the tool, you’ll find freedom of movement is improved, even when working on slopes. The tool itself is lightweight and well-balanced thanks to its slimmed-down and compact construction.
This model comes with an efficient T25B tap ‘n go trimmer head, and a robust three-tooth metal blade for use on tougher areas. The two-way rotation means that trimmings can be directed away from footpaths. The intuitive keypad makes the tool very easy to use, and SavE mode maximises run time in light conditions.
While the initial costs may sound expensive, the cost of charging and recharging a lithium-ion battery when compared with the cost of a tank of petrol is far less. Over time, a petrol product will need to be serviced, which is again a costly exercise. There is also the risk that an inexperienced contractor could damage the engine with the incorrect two-stroke mix or through improper use. All of these hidden costs of petrol mean that battery is soon becoming the preferred option for many users: there are no hidden costs, and there’s no pricey servicing.
Husqvarna’s battery range is enviable for its quality and usability. All tools are sold without batteries and chargers, as these are interchangeable through the range. This means that professionals aren’t paying high prices for batteries which aren’t required, thus making the products themselves more affordable. Husqvarna recommend the BLi 200 battery and the QC330 charger for use with this model. For more extensive use, backpack batteries are available, giving up to 7 hours of use on light grasses.

About HusqvarnaBelieve it or not, Husqvarna did not start off by manufacturing any type of garden machinery at all. Instead they were established in 1689 as a weapons foundry supplying the Swedish Armed Forces. During the subsequent years, diverse and varied products have been produced, from sewing machines and cast iron kitchen equipment through to bicycles and motorbikes. It wasn't until 1959 that Husqvarna finally made its first chainsaws and engine-driven lawnmowers. The company's reputation for build quality and durability of product has never been in question. This is probably the reason for their line of professional petrol chainsaws being so popular with forestry workers across the globe.
Husqvarna are not afraid to innovate either, introducing the robotic, solar powered Automower® in 1995 and continually looking to improve their existing products by listening to their customers. Jumping onto the grass recycling bandwagon, they also manufacture some of the best mulching lawnmowers available, incorporating Bioclip® technology into the vast majority of their petrol lawn mowers. Be left in no doubt, if you buy any product from the Husqvarna garden machinery stable, you will be buying into Swedish quality that is built to last.
