Out of stock
Some people love to mow the lawn themselves, looking forward with secret glee to spending a few hours pacing up and down the garden at the weekend. Others, however, consider lawn mowing merely another chore which has to be done so that one doesn’t become subject to unkind taunts from vindictive neighbours about unkempt turf. And if this latter attitude towards mowing sounds familiar to you, Husqvarna’s Automower 320 might be just the thing you’ve been waiting for.
Part of Husqvarna’s third generation of robotic lawnmowers, the Automower 320 provides an effortless way of maintaining lawns of lawns up to 2200m² (0.54 acres) in size. All that you need to do is install the perimeter wire supplied in the area you need mown and use the intuitive interface system to program your preferred schedule. Once this is done you can then sit back and let the Automower 320 set to work, freeing up your time for more important tasks (even if that “important task” is just basking in the sun with a cold drink in your hand). Powered by a hi-tech 18V/3.2Ah lithium-ion battery, the Automower 320 will even return to its docking station automatically to recharge. This ensures a truly “hands off” mowing experience.
The Automower 320 can do this thanks to Husqvarna’s decades of research and development, which make this one of the most advanced robotic lawnmowers on the market today. In addition to the standard array of collision sensors, for example, the Automower 320 features Husqvarna’s clever automatic passage-handling system, which allows it to identify the optimal path around obstacles without overworking any area of grass. The Automower 320’s powerful electric motor and large wheels, meanwhile, ensure superb performance even on difficult or sloped terrain, so there aren’t too many gardens which this plucky little robot can’t handle!
The Automower 320’s cutting system consists of three pivoting carbon steel razor blades mounted on a robust cutting disc, which allows your robotic mower to cut grass gradually over time. This gradual cutting process is actually healthier for your lawn, as it allows the grass to recover more effectively between cuts; Husqvarna compares it to letting sheep graze in your garden, though with the Automower 320 you won’t have to do half as much shepherding as this would imply! Furthermore, the Automower 320’s cutting height can be quickly adjusted via the easy-to-use menu system (with settings available from 20mm to 60mm), while a clever “Weather Timer” automatically adjusts the mowing schedule to maximise mowing time during periods of strong grass growth, so you can rest assured of superb results all year round.
As the Automower 320 is designed to replace a standard petrol lawnmower in terms of its cutting capacity, it is also worth taking a moment to appreciate the various advantages afforded by its state-of-the-art battery technology. Battery powered machines are, after all, much cleaner and quieter running than their petrol equivalents, so the Automower 320’s low-noise, zero-emission performance makes it perfect for use in urban and residential areas where noisier petrol equipment can cause a disturbance. Husqvarna’s batteries are particularly noteworthy in the efficiency stakes too, with the Automower 320’s low energy operation enabling up to 80 minutes run time on a single 60 minute charge.
Issues of safety and security are further addressed by the Automower 320’s additional features, with lift and tilt sensors included to automatically shut off the cutting gear should anyone pick the Automower up, as well as a PIN code locking system and an anti-theft alarm to deter potential thieves. On top of all of this Husqvarna’s Automower 320 is built to be tough, with a sturdy plastic chassis and a weatherproof cover both ensuring a long and reliable service life. You can thus rely on the Automower 320 to take care of all routine lawn maintenance work come rain or shine, saving significant time and effort on your part without sacrificing on the quality of finish in your garden.
