As far as adjectives go, “compact”, “agile”, and “powerful” are perhaps words more commonly associated with sports cars than tractors, but they are equally applicable to Husqvarna’s CTH 126 garden tractor. True, in a Le Mans style twenty-four hour circuit race the tractor would probably struggle to keep up with the sports car, but when it comes to mowing a complicated garden or uneven lawn the CTH 126 delivers reliable cutting power and outstanding versatility in a manner which would make even a Bugatti Veyron seem completely inadequate in the same situation.
Driven by an industrious 344cc Briggs & Stratton PowerBuilt AVS petrol engine, built with a cast iron sleeve and an innovative anti-vibration system to ensure a long service life and optimum performance, the CTH 126 also features fully hydrostatic transmission. This simple, pedal operated system provides complete speed control (up to a maximum of 6.7km/h) and combines with the mower’s pivoting front axle and dual draglink steering to make the CTH 126 easy to handle when mowing around borders and obstacles. For added safety, the CTH 126 also features a reverse operating system and a failsafe driver presence switch; these help to ensure safe operation by disengaging the cutting blade when driving backwards and automatically cutting off the engine should you dismount while the machine is still running.
The CTH 126 is also fitted with a tough 77cm cutting deck with convenient electric blade engagement. This intelligently designed cutting deck features an air induction system which lifts grass before cutting, producing a cleaner cut for a fine finish and a healthier lawn. Collection, meanwhile, is handled via an easy to empty 200 litre grass collector with a capacity alert to help ensure efficient clipping disposal. For added precision and versatility, the CTH 126 also features six-position height of cut adjustment (38mm-102mm) controlled via a single, centralised lever system.
With a host of convenient design features, ranging from the powerful headlights and service indicator to the ergonomically designed adjustable driver’s seat, and a robust steel chassis designed to ensure a long service life, Husqvarna’s CTH 126 is a tough but compact tractor happily capable of maintaining an intricate lawn with the minimum of fuss.

About HusqvarnaBelieve it or not, Husqvarna did not start off by manufacturing any type of garden machinery at all. Instead they were established in 1689 as a weapons foundry supplying the Swedish Armed Forces. During the subsequent years, diverse and varied products have been produced, from sewing machines and cast iron kitchen equipment through to bicycles and motorbikes. It wasn't until 1959 that Husqvarna finally made its first chainsaws and engine-driven lawnmowers. The company's reputation for build quality and durability of product has never been in question. This is probably the reason for their line of professional petrol chainsaws being so popular with forestry workers across the globe.
Husqvarna are not afraid to innovate either, introducing the robotic, solar powered Automower® in 1995 and continually looking to improve their existing products by listening to their customers. Jumping onto the grass recycling bandwagon, they also manufacture some of the best mulching lawnmowers available, incorporating Bioclip® technology into the vast majority of their petrol lawn mowers. Be left in no doubt, if you buy any product from the Husqvarna garden machinery stable, you will be buying into Swedish quality that is built to last.
