Husqvarnas Functional 24 Protective Boots are for the professional forester, designed to protect against chain speeds of up to 24m/s. Fitted with tough Vibram rubber soles and steel toe caps, these handmade boots are available in UK sizes 4-12.
Dropping something heavy on your toe is painful at the best of times, never mind when that heavy something is a chainsaw. As such, it is absolutely vital that you make sure that your feet are thoroughly protected before setting about any heavy duty cutting work. Part of Husqvarna’s excellent range of protective chainsaw attire, these Functional 24 Protective Boots are approved to offer Class 2 protection against chain speeds of up to 24m/s in compliance with the EN345 standard. This makes them perfect for the busy professional forester, or indeed anyone who spends their working days with a powerful chainsaw in hand.
Made to be superbly durable, these handmade boots feature tough Vibram rubber soles with a reinforced upper section to guard against abrasion and impacts. Steel toe caps top off the ensemble, thus ensuring that your feet remain completely safe while you work. Despite this impressive toughness, the boots are also very cleverly designed for comfort and convenience. A soft inner lining, for example, means that your toes will stay cosy even when the going gets tough, while deep lacing at the back and ridges on the leg, plus a new heel cap, make it easier to put on and take off the boots. For added grip on uneven or slippery surfaces, moreover, Husqvarna’s Functional 24 Protective Boots can also be fitted with studs (available separately), while with eleven different sizes available (UK sizes 4-12) you can be sure of finding a perfect fit.

About HusqvarnaBelieve it or not, Husqvarna did not start off by manufacturing any type of garden machinery at all. Instead they were established in 1689 as a weapons foundry supplying the Swedish Armed Forces. During the subsequent years, diverse and varied products have been produced, from sewing machines and cast iron kitchen equipment through to bicycles and motorbikes. It wasn't until 1959 that Husqvarna finally made its first chainsaws and engine-driven lawnmowers. The company's reputation for build quality and durability of product has never been in question. This is probably the reason for their line of professional petrol chainsaws being so popular with forestry workers across the globe.
Husqvarna are not afraid to innovate either, introducing the robotic, solar powered Automower® in 1995 and continually looking to improve their existing products by listening to their customers. Jumping onto the grass recycling bandwagon, they also manufacture some of the best mulching lawnmowers available, incorporating Bioclip® technology into the vast majority of their petrol lawn mowers. Be left in no doubt, if you buy any product from the Husqvarna garden machinery stable, you will be buying into Swedish quality that is built to last.
