As picturesque as the scene might be on a winter morning after a night of heavy snowfall, it doesn’t change the fact that snow can also be incredibly inconvenient if you actually need to get anywhere. Moreover, snow left to sit can often compact and become dangerously slippery. As such, it makes sense to clear snow from roads, paths and driveways as soon as possible. This task can be accomplished quickly and easily with the aid of your Husqvarna ride-on mower accompanied by a front mounted snow thrower.
Husqvarna produce four different snow throwers, designed for use with different ride-on mowers. For 300 series front rider mowers, there is a highly effective, heavy-duty single-stage thrower with a working width of 100cm, a belt driven gearbox, a chute which rotates through 90º and a lightweight construction that makes it easy to attach to your mower (recommended for use with AWD-models only).
For front mowers from the 400 series, a similar single-stage thrower is available but with chute rotation of up to 180º for greater control of where you throw your snow (wheel weights and snow chains required for use with rear wheel drive models). For premium 500 series front rider mowers, meanwhile, a commercial grade heavy-duty two-stage snow thrower is available, featuring a 120cm working width and 238º chute rotation (requires hydraulics kit and must be used with counterweight).
Finally, for Husqvarna’s tough lawn tractors an equally sturdy and highly effective two-stage snow thrower with a working width of 107cm, a lightweight construction and 180º of chute rotation is available, perfect for making light work of clearing unwanted snow (must be used with snow chains and a counterweight kit).
