A powerful petrol hover mower with a recoil start, capable of handling slopes up to 45 degrees, allowing for greater mobility than with an electric hover mower.
The Husqvarna GX 560 is a petrol-powered hover mower, designed to combine the manoeuvrability of a hover mower with the convenient mobility of a petrol one. While its petrol engine means it is by no means the lightest hover mower on the market, the GX 560 is light enough to perform effectively, gliding on a cushion of air over slopes and uneven surfaces a wheeled machine would be unable to tackle. In fact, not only is this machine capable of handling slopes beyond wheeled mowers, but it will easily deal with slopes up to 45°, which would even be beyond a smaller hover mower.
The powerful 160cc petrol engine allows a degree of mobility that would be impossible to achieve with an electric model, and the lack of wheels minimises the possibility of the mower dropping off the lawn edge and damaging surfaces. This combination makes this model ideal for use around flowerbeds and golf courses, and helps achieve a professional finish. The sturdy metal blade can be easily adjusted to any of three cutting heights by means of the spacers provided, and provides a cutting width of 50.5cm that makes this machine ideal for large areas of turf. To add to its convenience and mobility this model also features transport wheels as an optional accessory, which both increase manoeuvrability when the mower is in use and make the machine much easier to transport when it is not in use. This allows the operator to simply pull or push the machine, rather than having to carry it as with many lighter, less sturdy hover mowers.
The powerful four-stroke engine features a recoil start, and has been carefully designed by Husqvarna’s engineers to give the maximum possible power-to-weight ratio. The ABS injection-moulded deck offers an ideal combination of lightness and strength, giving you confidence as you use your machine in tough grass conditions or on uneven terrain. Even the smallest details on this machine are notable for their utility, a chief example being the “Comfort”-type handle, which also folds down to make this machine as simple and convenient to store as it is to use.

About HusqvarnaBelieve it or not, Husqvarna did not start off by manufacturing any type of garden machinery at all. Instead they were established in 1689 as a weapons foundry supplying the Swedish Armed Forces. During the subsequent years, diverse and varied products have been produced, from sewing machines and cast iron kitchen equipment through to bicycles and motorbikes. It wasn't until 1959 that Husqvarna finally made its first chainsaws and engine-driven lawnmowers. The company's reputation for build quality and durability of product has never been in question. This is probably the reason for their line of professional petrol chainsaws being so popular with forestry workers across the globe.
Husqvarna are not afraid to innovate either, introducing the robotic, solar powered Automower® in 1995 and continually looking to improve their existing products by listening to their customers. Jumping onto the grass recycling bandwagon, they also manufacture some of the best mulching lawnmowers available, incorporating Bioclip® technology into the vast majority of their petrol lawn mowers. Be left in no doubt, if you buy any product from the Husqvarna garden machinery stable, you will be buying into Swedish quality that is built to last.
