Husqvarna’s rear wheel drive LC146S is a self-propelled lawnmower ideal for small to medium size gardens. Offering three different cutting options with its TrioClip capability, this machine is not only very versatile but also easy to use, even for less experienced users, and comfortable to operate.
The three cutting options offered by this mower are cut and collection, mulching and rear discharge. For the collection function, the mower is equipped with a large 55 litre capacity fabric grass collector, its size meaning that you won’t need to stop and empty it very often, saving you time and effort. The mulching option, meanwhile, offers a handy way of recycling your grass clippings by cutting them up inside the machine and then redistributing them back onto the ground, pushing them down into the soil so that they can act as a natural fertilizer and promote the growth of a healthy green lawn. Finally, the discharge option is useful when the grass you are mowing is longer and overgrown, ejecting the clippings and preventing the blade from becoming clogged up. Flexibility is also offered in terms of the height of cut; a single lever allows you to quickly adjust all of the lawnmower’s wheels simultaneously, offering selection of one of seven heights between 30mm and 75mm.
Propulsion is provided by a powerful and easy-starting 140cc Briggs & Stratton 550e engine, giving a ground speed of 4km/h, while double ball bearing wheels ensure smooth operation, longevity and durability. The robust pressed steel cutting deck, featuring a cutting width of 46cm, is similarly designed to guarantee a long service life, as well as optimal cutting performance. Comfort for the user is assured by the adjustable comfort grip handlebar, which allows you to find the best height for you and avoid straining your back. Finally, when you are finished mowing the handlebar folds away to assist with storage, and a hose connection allows you to easily rinse out the cutting deck to prevent it becoming blocked up with leftover grass cuttings. About HusqvarnaBelieve it or not, Husqvarna did not start off by manufacturing any type of garden machinery at all. Instead they were established in 1689 as a weapons foundry supplying the Swedish Armed Forces. During the subsequent years, diverse and varied products have been produced, from sewing machines and cast iron kitchen equipment through to bicycles and motorbikes. It wasn't until 1959 that Husqvarna finally made its first chainsaws and engine-driven lawnmowers. The company's reputation for build quality and durability of product has never been in question. This is probably the reason for their line of professional petrol chainsaws being so popular with forestry workers across the globe.
Husqvarna are not afraid to innovate either, introducing the robotic, solar powered Automower® in 1995 and continually looking to improve their existing products by listening to their customers. Jumping onto the grass recycling bandwagon, they also manufacture some of the best mulching lawnmowers available, incorporating Bioclip® technology into the vast majority of their petrol lawn mowers. Be left in no doubt, if you buy any product from the Husqvarna garden machinery stable, you will be buying into Swedish quality that is built to last.
