Capable of handling even the biggest jobs, Husqvarna’s R 422Ts AWD front rider mower offers industry, versatility and convenience.
Please note: delivery is only available within a 50 mile radius of our Ipswich and Norwich depots for all ride on lawnmowers.
Bigger, tougher and more powerful than its smaller sibling, the R 418Ts, the R 422Ts AWD is the top of the range front rider mower in Husqvarna’s 400 series. Capable of using larger cutting decks and therefore taking on even the biggest jobs, such as maintaining the grounds of country estates, sporting facilities and hotels, the R 422Ts AWD offers industry, versatility and convenience in abundance.
The R 422Ts AWD is available with a combi cutting deck in one of three sizes (103cm, 112cm and 122cm), all of which offer both BioClip® grass mulching and efficient rear ejection modes. When used for mulching, the R 422Ts AWD cuts grass repeatedly to reduce it to tiny particles. These miniscule clippings are then blown deep into your lawn where they act as a natural fertiliser, leaving a tidy finish and encouraging healthy growth. By simply removing the deck’s back panel, however, you can also use the R 422Ts AWD as a powerful rear ejection machine for cutting longer, rougher areas of grass. Also included as standard, seven-step height of cut adjustment (25mm-75mm) helps ensure a precise finish, while the deck’s forward positioning makes accessing hard to reach areas of lawn far less hassle.
Powered by a quiet, clean and fuel efficient 656cc Briggs & Stratton Endurance Series V-Twin petrol engine, designed exclusively for Husqvarna, the R 422Ts AWD also features hydrostatic all-wheel drive transmission for outstanding speed control and traction, even when mowing on sloped or slippery ground. Moreover, with a hydraulically assisted articulated steering system, allowing the rear wheels to swing in underneath the machine, the R 422Ts is impressively manoeuvrable and easy to handle.
For added versatility, the R 422Ts AWD also features a handy attachment frame, making it quick and easy to switch between the cutting deck and a wide range of optional front mounted Husqvarna accessories, including a flail mower, powered broom, snow blade and folding plough. Husqvarna also understand that convenience and comfort are an important part of the mowing experience and have built the R 422Ts AWD accordingly. The mower’s large wheels, for example, are designed to absorb shocks and offer a smooth ride, while an ergonomically designed steering wheel and premium cushioned seat make mowing for extended periods much less strenuous.
Finally, you will be pleased to hear that such an impressive machine is comfortably capable of providing many years of dedicated and reliable service, a fact underlined by its durable reinforced steel frame and easy access service points designed to facilitate routine cleaning and maintenance. As such, for a ride-on mower which can handle pretty much anything you fancy throwing its way, you could do much worse than spend a little time getting to know the many virtues of Husqvarna’s R 422Ts AWD.

About HusqvarnaBelieve it or not, Husqvarna did not start off by manufacturing any type of garden machinery at all. Instead they were established in 1689 as a weapons foundry supplying the Swedish Armed Forces. During the subsequent years, diverse and varied products have been produced, from sewing machines and cast iron kitchen equipment through to bicycles and motorbikes. It wasn't until 1959 that Husqvarna finally made its first chainsaws and engine-driven lawnmowers. The company's reputation for build quality and durability of product has never been in question. This is probably the reason for their line of professional petrol chainsaws being so popular with forestry workers across the globe.
Husqvarna are not afraid to innovate either, introducing the robotic, solar powered Automower® in 1995 and continually looking to improve their existing products by listening to their customers. Jumping onto the grass recycling bandwagon, they also manufacture some of the best mulching lawnmowers available, incorporating Bioclip® technology into the vast majority of their petrol lawn mowers. Be left in no doubt, if you buy any product from the Husqvarna garden machinery stable, you will be buying into Swedish quality that is built to last.
