Product Description

The life of a professional arborist is an unusual one by many standards, not least because it involves spending long days in tall trees wielding a chainsaw (an activity which should probably not be attempted without the proper training). Nevertheless, if you are going to be climbing a tree while equipped with a chainsaw then you might as well ensure that you are properly attired for the job. Husqvarna’s Technical Arbor Jacket is lightweight, water resistant, flexible and brilliantly protective, making cutting tough branches at a height significantly safer and easier as a result.

Needless to say, when cutting at a height freedom of movement is a pretty important factor. Luckily the clever four-way stretch material used in the design of this jacket takes this into account, offering a good fit and exceptional mobility when dealing with tricky cutting work. To help further ensure an excellent fit the jacket also features Velcro fastenings at the end of the arms and an adjustable cord for the waist and upper part, thus preventing loose fabric from catching while you are working or climbing. An additional safety enhancing feature is the inclusion of a large reflective ‘Husqvarna’ logo and reflective strips on the arms, both of which increase visibility in low light conditions.

The main protective element of the Technical Arbor Jacket’s design, however, is the use of tough Aramid and Cordura panels on vulnerable areas, providing effective protection against chain speeds of up to 20m/s. This is industry approved according to the EN381 standard, so despite being pleasingly comfortable and lightweight the jacket offers brilliant protection for hardworking professionals. In addition to all of this the jacket also features a handy zip-up pocket on the chest, providing a handy place in which to stash any small bits and bobs you might otherwise have to leave at ground level. Moreover, with four sizes available (ranging from 36”-50”) it is easy to find a jacket perfect for your personal requirements.

About Husqvarna
Believe it or not, Husqvarna did not start off by manufacturing any type of garden machinery at all. Instead they were established in 1689 as a weapons foundry supplying the Swedish Armed Forces. During the subsequent years, diverse and varied products have been produced, from sewing machines and cast iron kitchen equipment through to bicycles and motorbikes. It wasn't until 1959 that Husqvarna finally made its first chainsaws and engine-driven lawnmowers. The company's reputation for build quality and durability of product has never been in question. This is probably the reason for their line of professional petrol chainsaws being so popular with forestry workers across the globe.

Husqvarna are not afraid to innovate either, introducing the robotic, solar powered Automower® in 1995 and continually looking to improve their existing products by listening to their customers. Jumping onto the grass recycling bandwagon, they also manufacture some of the best mulching lawnmowers available, incorporating Bioclip® technology into the vast majority of their petrol lawn mowers. Be left in no doubt, if you buy any product from the Husqvarna garden machinery stable, you will be buying into Swedish quality that is built to last.
