Husqvarna Technical Chainsaw Trousers | Type A – Class 1

  • Product Details

Who likes short shorts? Not professional forestry workers, as when using a powerful chainsaw short shorts are simply impractical. Instead, Husqvarna’s superb Technical Waist-Height Trousers offer the professional chainsaw operator a practical combination of comfort, freedom of movement and industry approved protection against chain speeds of up to 20m/s to ensure your safety and convenience during prolonged periods of intensive cutting work.

Certified to offer Type A, Class 1 protection across the front and partially to the left side of the leg in accordance with the EN381-5 standard, these high quality trousers are made from a hardwearing but lightweight four-way stretch material for a tight fit, thus preventing loose fabric from catching in machinery, with tough Aramid and Cordura panels in vulnerable areas for extra protection. In addition to this, the bright orange colour scheme and reflective strips further enhance safety by increasing visibility when working in low light conditions.

Another advantage of the four-way stretch material used to make these trousers is that it ensures freedom of movement, which along with the pre-bent knees makes it easier to work on rough or uneven ground. For even greater comfort and convenience the trousers also feature ventilation zippers on the back of the legs for when working long days in hot weather, while a variety of handy pockets (two front pockets, one back pocket, one on the left leg and a ruler pocket) provides a practical storage solution when out in the forest. Available in a range of sizes (ranging from 30”-46” waist, with a longer length also available) to help ensure a perfect fit, Husqvarna’s Technical Waist-Height Trousers are thus perfect for year-round wear and offer outstanding comfort and protection in even the most challenging working conditions.

    About Husqvarna
Believe it or not, Husqvarna did not start off by manufacturing any type of garden machinery at all. Instead they were established in 1689 as a weapons foundry supplying the Swedish Armed Forces. During the subsequent years, diverse and varied products have been produced, from sewing machines and cast iron kitchen equipment through to bicycles and motorbikes. It wasn't until 1959 that Husqvarna finally made its first chainsaws and engine-driven lawnmowers. The company's reputation for build quality and durability of product has never been in question. This is probably the reason for their line of professional petrol chainsaws being so popular with forestry workers across the globe.

Husqvarna are not afraid to innovate either, introducing the robotic, solar powered Automower® in 1995 and continually looking to improve their existing products by listening to their customers. Jumping onto the grass recycling bandwagon, they also manufacture some of the best mulching lawnmowers available, incorporating Bioclip® technology into the vast majority of their petrol lawn mowers. Be left in no doubt, if you buy any product from the Husqvarna garden machinery stable, you will be buying into Swedish quality that is built to last.
