Kawasaki KBL35C Petrol Brushcutter

  • Product Details

The list of great middleweight boxers includes luminaries such as Joe Calzaghe, Jake LaMotta, Sugar Ray Robinson and *ahem* Chris Eubank. None of these exceptional fighters, however, can hold a candle to another great middleweight when it comes to commercial grass trimming and landscaping work; Kawasaki’s KBL35C is a mid-range, professional grade brushcutter which offers outstanding cutting power without the additional weight and hassle of using a heavier machine.

Everything about the KBL35C seems to have been designed in order to make trimming grass in large gardens, parks and other areas as simple as possible. The efficient, low noise and low vibration 34.4cc two-stroke petrol engine at its heart, for example, offers one of the best power-to-weight ratios in the industry. When combined with the KBL35C’s enlarged 0.7 litre fuel tank, designed specifically to increase run time between fuel stops, this makes it easy to cover large areas quickly and efficiently whether trimming back long grass or simply tidying lawn edges and borders.

This power is channelled into the KBL35C’s highly effective cutting system, with a powerful dual nylon line trimmer head featuring semi-automatic ‘Bump & Feed’ line advancement supplied as standard. In addition to being impressively versatile and capable of trimming back overgrown nettles and other weeds as well as producing a pristine finish on formal lawns, the ‘Bump & Feed’ line advancement also saves a lot of time and effort when taking on heavier workloads; simply tap the trimmer head against the ground and the cutting line will automatically be set to an optimal working length. This makes the KBL35C reassuringly user-friendly, even for demanding home users looking for a machine capable of producing professional quality results in a domestic setting.

Equally important in this respect is the KBL35C’s handy KAR (Kawasaki Advanced Recoil) easy start system, which appreciably reduces the resistance of the starter cord to ensure quick and trouble-free starting every time. Other helpful ergonomic features of this extraordinary machine include a comfortable D-loop handle and an all-in-one control array, which together allow you to stay in complete control while also maintaining an optimal working grip at all times. The tough plastic blade guard, meanwhile, deflects clippings, stones, soil and anything else thrown up while you work. Furthermore, for additional protection and support during extended periods of use the KBL35C is supplied as standard with a pair of safety goggles and a full harness.

Built to withstand the demands of commercial gardening work, the KBL35C is also a pretty tough piece of equipment. The engine in particular is notable for its built-in spark arrestor, fully covered carburettor and a one-piece fan housing, which along with the commercial quality air filter helps to ensure long-lasting performance. To further underline this and to make certain of your complete satisfaction, however, Kawasaki also offer either a three year professional warranty or a five year domestic warranty with every machine. As such, you can trust the KBL35C to provide years of dependable service.

    About Kawasaki
Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd is truly a manufacturing Behemoth, a Leviathan of industry, a commercial Titan with which few can compare, a… well, you get the idea. They’re pretty big. In addition to high quality powered horticultural tools, Kawasaki’s product lines include the following (take a deep breath now); space systems, flight simulators, jet engines, missiles, rolling stock, oil tankers, submarines, wind turbines, nuclear power plant equipment, industrial plants, robots, water treatment systems, motorcycles, cars, construction machinery, steel bridges and jet skis.

However, it is worth noting that few companies become a globe-straddling, Brobdingnagian enterprise of this kind without sharing Kawasaki’s dedication to innovation, customer service and brilliant engineering. It is this longstanding tradition of producing clever, effective and efficient machinery which has led professional gardeners and landscapers across the world to select Kawasaki machines as their tools of choice when faced with heavy duty horticultural work.

Kawasaki’s current manufacturing empire has relatively humble roots in the form of a man named Shz Kawasaki. The son of a kimono merchant, Shz Kawasaki was born in 1837 and became a tradesman at the age of 17 in Nagasaki. He later started a shipping business in Osaka at 27, but it failed when his cargo ship sank during a storm. Despite this seeming setback, it was in fact Shz Kawasaki’s unfortunate familiarity with sea accidents (of which he experienced many during his life) that lay down the foundations for the Kawasaki company’s later success. This is because Kawasaki came to admire Western ships during his life at sea, which were typically more spacious, stable and faster than Japanese ships, and when Kawasaki established the Kawasaki Tsukiji Shipyard in Tokyo in 1878 he pioneered in the introduction of modern shipbuilding techniques in Japan.

Eighteen years later, in 1896, the Kawasaki Tsukiji Shipyard was incorporated as Kawasaki Dockyard Co., Ltd and the company has been growing and blazing all kinds of trails ever since. Given Kawasaki’s expertise in creating powerful, environmentally friendly and efficient engines it made perfect sense for the company to introduce its own range of power tools, including a variety of commercial grade blowers, brushcutters and hedgetrimmers. These tools all benefit from Kawasaki’s characteristic commitment to quality, durability and long-lasting performance, making them perfect for busy professionals who need machines capable of tackling heavy workloads while producing superior results.
