Take the safety first route when you need to cut or trim tall hedges and invest in a Kawasaki KCL525A Long Reach Hedgetrimmer; equipped with an extended shaft and articulating cutting blade that ranges through 135º, it is possible to reach the tops of tall hedges without the need for a ladder, improving both safety and efficiency in one go. The 52.5cm-cutting blade is super sharp and reciprocating, capable of delivering excellent cutting results to maintain plant health and can be fixed in 12-different positions, including a transport position where the blade folds back onto the shaft; excellent for safe and compact storage as well. Power is provided from the excellent Kawasaki 26.3cc 2-stroke petrol engine, which, thanks to Kawasaki Advanced Recoil technology, is virtually trouble-free to get started. Low noise and low emissions are characteristics of Kawasaki power tools and the KCL525A is no exception with exceptionally low vibrations evident for optimal comfort. The loop handle attached to the main shaft is fully adjustable to improve comfort further and with a weight of only 6.3kg, you’ll find that even large hedgerows will not become a burden to keep in shape.
• The articulating cutting head moves through 135º to accommodate every hedge-cutting situation and folds back onto the main shaft for storage and transportation.

About KawasakiKawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd is truly a manufacturing Behemoth, a Leviathan of industry, a commercial Titan with which few can compare, a… well, you get the idea. They’re pretty big. In addition to high quality powered horticultural tools, Kawasaki’s product lines include the following (take a deep breath now); space systems, flight simulators, jet engines, missiles, rolling stock, oil tankers, submarines, wind turbines, nuclear power plant equipment, industrial plants, robots, water treatment systems, motorcycles, cars, construction machinery, steel bridges and jet skis.
However, it is worth noting that few companies become a globe-straddling, Brobdingnagian enterprise of this kind without sharing Kawasaki’s dedication to innovation, customer service and brilliant engineering. It is this longstanding tradition of producing clever, effective and efficient machinery which has led professional gardeners and landscapers across the world to select Kawasaki machines as their tools of choice when faced with heavy duty horticultural work.
Kawasaki’s current manufacturing empire has relatively humble roots in the form of a man named Shz Kawasaki. The son of a kimono merchant, Shz Kawasaki was born in 1837 and became a tradesman at the age of 17 in Nagasaki. He later started a shipping business in Osaka at 27, but it failed when his cargo ship sank during a storm. Despite this seeming setback, it was in fact Shz Kawasaki’s unfortunate familiarity with sea accidents (of which he experienced many during his life) that lay down the foundations for the Kawasaki company’s later success. This is because Kawasaki came to admire Western ships during his life at sea, which were typically more spacious, stable and faster than Japanese ships, and when Kawasaki established the Kawasaki Tsukiji Shipyard in Tokyo in 1878 he pioneered in the introduction of modern shipbuilding techniques in Japan.
Eighteen years later, in 1896, the Kawasaki Tsukiji Shipyard was incorporated as Kawasaki Dockyard Co., Ltd and the company has been growing and blazing all kinds of trails ever since. Given Kawasaki’s expertise in creating powerful, environmentally friendly and efficient engines it made perfect sense for the company to introduce its own range of power tools, including a variety of commercial grade blowers, brushcutters and hedgetrimmers. These tools all benefit from Kawasaki’s characteristic commitment to quality, durability and long-lasting performance, making them perfect for busy professionals who need machines capable of tackling heavy workloads while producing superior results.
