Painstaking research and immense attention to detail are the hallmarks of Shindaiwa’s engineering, which is why Shindaiwa tools are used by professional gardeners and contractors worldwide. Shindaiwa’s various grass trimmers and brushcutters are held in particularly high regard, including the T3410, a powerful, light and versatile trimmer featuring innovative C4® technology to improve performance while reducing noise and particle emissions.
Supplied as standard with a sturdy dual nylon line trimmer head, the T3410 is equally capable of precise trimming work when edging lawn borders, cutting hard to reach patches of grass inaccessible to an ordinary lawnmower, and even clearing larger patches of long grass and nettles. For added efficiency, the trimmer head also features a handy semi-automatic line feed system; simply tap the trimmer head against the ground and the cutting line is advanced to an optimal length. A tough debris shield, meanwhile, works to deflect clippings and other detritus thrown up while you are working, offering valuable protection and helping to ensure a tidier finish.
Convenience is also an important aspect of the T3410’s design, which is why the trimmer head also features a Speed-Feed® 450 reload system, thereby facilitating quick maintenance and making it possible to reload the trimmer in thirty seconds or less! Moreover, with an ergonomically designed low vibration, injection-moulded loop handle, offset by 8° for an optimal working position, the T3410 is comfortable to use even for extended periods of time.
Last, but far from least, is the T3410’s potent 34cc C4® two-stroke petrol engine, featuring a design which retains a two-stroke model’s technological foundation, high power-to-weight ratio, high torque and great throttle response while featuring the low noise and fuel economy of a four-stroke engine. As well as being quieter and cleaner running than most equivalent engines, C4® engines also feature a built-in decompression system that reduces the effort needed to pull the starter rope and dual-stage air filtration which increases engine life and reduces internal engine wear. All of this means that the T3410 is superbly reliable and consistently high performing, while the increased fuel efficiency of the engine (C4® engines use between 10 and 25% less fuel than equivalent Shindaiwa two-stroke engines) means that even running costs are reduced.
