The Toro HoverPro 450 is a petrol-powered hover mower, ideal for a medium-sized garden. This hover mower offers an ideal combination of lightness, manoeuvrability and mobility, enabling any operator, whatever their strength or experience of mowing, to reach outlying areas of their lawn with an ease which would be beyond a conventional electric machine.
The mower’s cushion of air and absence of wheels minimise the risk of dropping off the grass edge and causing damage, making it ideal for use around flower beds, and its generous cutting width of 46cm, wider than that of many competing machines designed for medium gardens, allows the operator to mow efficiently, without wasting time. The lack of wheels also means this model is capable of reaching slopes and other uneven surfaces that would be beyond the capability of a wheeled machine; the HoverPro 450 is capable of mowing slopes of up to 45°, which would be difficult or impossible even for a less advanced hover mower.
Everything about this model has been designed to be as user-friendly as possible. A good example of this is the ABS injection-moulded deck, which offers both lightness and strength, allowing you to use your 450 easily and confidently. Another good example is the nylon wire cutting system, which is lighter than a metal blade and both cheaper and easier to replace. In spite of the lack of a blade, the cutting system can still be adjusted over a range of 18-30mm, and Toro also offer an optional High-Rise-Kit for when the cutting height needs to be increased dramatically; the kit simply bolts on to the existing deck, and increases the cutting height by 35mm. Toro also offer other optional kits, which can be fitted to make this machine even more user-friendly, such as Transport Wheels to make transporting the machine to and from cutting areas easier without carrying, and Extension Handles to make working on slopes or hard-to-reach areas even easier.
This mower also boasts a powerful 135cc OHC Honda engine, which has been developed to maximise efficiency and for continuous inclined use; its high power-to-weight ratio ensures lightness and the fuel pump ensures fuel delivery on even the toughest inclined surfaces.
