The words “leaf blower” and “serene Sunday morning” are not always happy bedfellows, with many a neighbourly feud attributable to the unwelcome roar of a petrol powered blower. As such, the best way to enjoy both cordial relationships with your neighbours *and* an immaculately tidy garden is to use an electric leaf blower instead. Toro’s Super Blower Vac is one such machine, offering superb versatility and impressive power but with none of the noise, hassle or fumes of a petrol blower.
Fitted with a potent but quiet running 1450W two-speed electric motor and powered via the mains, the Super Blower Vac is perfect for use in urban and residential areas where noisier petrol equipment would cause a disturbance. Being quieter than a petrol machine also makes the Super Blower Vac more user-friendly, with the elimination of harmful particle emissions and reduction in running costs further adding to the convenience offered by this handy little machine. Capable of producing a maximum airflow of 11.0m³ per min in vacuum mode or 7.2m³ per min in blow mode, the Super Blower Vac also features two speed settings to help ensure optimum performance in every situation; the high speed mode has the power necessary to tackle tough lawn chores, but the low speed mode provides greater subtlety when working on hard surfaces and in tight areas.
The Super Blower Vac’s three-in-one system means that it can be used as a leaf blower, a vacuum or even a leaf shredder, with a quick release catch ensuring quick conversion between blower and vacuum mode. When used as a blower it is ideal for quick clearance of leaves and loose grass from paths, driveways and lawns in small to medium domestic gardens. A unique fan design, meanwhile, reduces clogging and improves the air flow rate, resulting in better performance when used in vacuum mode. The Super Blower Vac also shreds leaves as you vacuum, creating finely mulched material in order to make the most of the collection capacity offered by the 53 litre collection bag. Whichever mode you use, there are few simpler ways of keeping your garden tidy all year round.
One of the greatest virtues of this machine, moreover, is that it is reassuringly straightforward to operate. All of the controls, for example, are pleasingly intuitive, while with its compact, low weight design (only 3.3kg!) and ergonomically designed comfort grip handle the Super Blower Vac is also supremely portable and handles wonderfully. As such even less experienced gardeners will find it a pleasure to use, and with Toro’s offer of a full two year manufacturer’s warranty as standard you can also be sure of a long and reliable service life.

About ToroToro are without doubt one of the world’s leading turf care machinery manufacturers, providing both the homeowner and professional user with a range of equipment designed to cater for every eventuality. The company was founded in 1914, not with the intention to create the Toro lawn mowers we know today, but with the singular purpose of providing The Bull Tractor Company with a reliable source of engines. They did this to great effect until the beginning of WW1, when their attentions were turned to providing steering winches for merchant shipping during this time. By 1920, a move into the turf care industry was imminent when five cylinder mower units were attached to a Toro tractor in order to maintain the fairways at The Minikahda Club in Minneapolis. By 1928 a portfolio of industry leading machines had been produced and it was time for Toro to branch out into International territories.
The year of 1938 saw the first production of the Homelawn — the first of the domestic Toro lawn mowers — yet by 1942 all domestic manufacturing of Toro lawn mowers was halted in an effort to build tank, canon and anti-aircraft equipment for the U.S. army during WW2. Expansion follows the disruption of the war years for the next few decades, when Toro expand into new markets with industry firsts, including the snow-throwing Snow Hound in 1952. Further development of the all important turf care equipment saw Toro form a partnership with America’s Super Bowl organisers in 1966 before it moved back into the agricultural scene with industry leading irrigation equipment. The turn of the millennium sees The Toro Company going from strength to strength, continuing to develop Toro lawn mowers and groundbreaking solutions to turf maintenance for professional and domestic customers, whilst at the same time investing time and money back into community projects, resulting in being named Jefferson Award 2012 winner.
